• Only one central closure• Occupation of cable on demand• Easy branch off• Flexible use for all demands
(FTTN, FTTC, FTTH)
• Installation of one big fibre cable(244 fibres)
• Need of closures at each branch• Installation of one cable (2-4
fibres) to each costumer• Investment in dark fibre
What costs must be calculated?
• 97 % of the costs are for micro cables, installation and expansion
• only 3 % represent speedpipe® and gabocom fittings
• these 3 % decide on future cost advantages: less maintenance, less downtimes, less current expenses

Cost advantages begin with the installation
Customer Advantages
9
• Reduces and avoids civil engineering costs by using free capacity in existing ductswith pipe-in-pipe technology in the access and customer connection network
• Avoids up-front investment in the more expensive fibre cables
• Avoids installation of excess fibre cables due to „blow-in-on-demand“
• Life cycle costs of network will be reduced• Non-aging materials ensure longer life-span of network
• Gas- and watertight characteristics ensure reliability of network during life-span
• Easier network expansion through gabocom system
• Easier repair and maintenance
How can costs be saved?
With speedpipe® costs are saved already at the installation:civil engineering costs, Dark Fibre, branch manholes, material costs, installation time
Saved: civil engineering costs
• speed•pipe® efficiently uses existing duct plants• civil engineering costs from 50 up to 200 € per meter are omitted
10
How can costs be saved?
With speed•pipe® costs are saved already at the installation:civil engineering costs, Dark Fibre, branch manholes, material costs, installation time
Saved: expensive Dark Fibre
• fibre optic cables are installed on demand• expensive Dark Fibre becomes needless• thus the initial investments are decreased
11
How can costs be saved?
With speedpipe® costs are saved already at the installation:civil engineering costs, Dark Fibre, branch manholes, material costs, installation time
Saved: branch manholes
• speedpipe® allows branching without any manholes• installation and maintenance costs are decreased• material costs are reduced by up to 85 %

What are the technical advantages?
17
Gabocomproduct
advantages
Fully compatible system components
Repeated quality test during production
More than 3 years UV stable in South European climate
Maximum utilization of existing duct plants
Divisible, gas- and water-tight fittings
Individual cable occupation and simple branching
High quality raw materials for durable products
Technical Arguments speed-pipe
Speed-pipe is certified, approved and used by many Telecommunicationcompanies like Deutsche Telecom, Belgacom, Telecom Austria, Telecom Italia, Austrian Railway (ÖBB), etc.
High density PEHD ( equivalent to PE80)
Production of speed-pipe + bundles is according to DIN 8074/8075
We only use 100% new material in our production ( no recycled material)
On each spool of speed-pipe we do 100% pressure test ( 12bar/15 min.; Tolerance 0,2bar)
Test of inner diameter during production with sensor ( inline)
Internal pressure creep rupture (170h at 80° with insulation test voltage of4N/mm²) i.e. sp 10x1 = aprox 9,0bar/80° 170h without burst – we interuptusually at 1000h.
18
Technical Arguments speed-pipe
Ice test exsternal : a speed-pipe ( 250mm long) airtight closed, sealed on both ends has to be frozen 10times (-10to -20°) frozen completely and defrostd again. After that the creep rupture test has to be carried out with a minimum resistance of 170h.
We give 3 years UV stability southern Europe climatics. UV stability is measured in Kilo Langley (KLy). Northern Europe = 70-80 KLy, Southern Europe = 100-120 Kly
Sealings/ fittings – i.e. material of DSM. We use POM (Polyoxymethylen),compared to the mostly used PC ( Polycarbonat). PC is sensitive for stress cracks and capillary cracks and also aginst hits. During the blow-in process the connector can burst.
POM has a much higher resistance against hits and also a much higher pressure
