Photoshop work

Nursery rhyme

Objec&ve:  To  create  a  nursery  rhyme  in  a  style  not  usually  associated  with  it.

Solu&on:  I  chose  to  create  the  London  Bridge  is  Falling  Down  nursery  rhyme  in  a  grunge  style  in  Photoshop  with  the  use  of  layers.  I  found  a  great  background  image  and  cut  the  bridge  apart  to  give  it  the  “falling  down”  effect.  Also  using  opacity  of  different  objects  in  the  work.

Magazine Re-Ad

Original Re-Ad

Objec&ve:  To  duplicate  a  magazine  adver&sement  to  show  my  mad  skills.

Solu&on:  I  used  Photoshop  to  re-‐create  the  peacock  and  turtle  mix  at  the  top,  found  the  car  in  the  ad,  and  used  filler  text  at  the  boNom  in  an  aNempt  to  make  the  two  look  the  same.

Minimalist poster

Objec&ve:  To  make  a  poster  for  The  Pixels  using  Saul  Bass’  minimalist  techniques

Solu&on:  I  used  his  very  common  ver&go  style  and  added  a  wrinkled  texture  to  the  poster  for  more  effect.

Mutant: chalionhorshark

Objec&ve:  To  use  the  masking  tool  to  make  a  mutant  animal  of  at  least  4  other  animals.

Solu&on:  I  used  the  masking  tool  to  create  the  chalionhorshark  out  of  images  of  a  chameleon,  lion,  horse,  and  shark

Illustrator My face project

Adobe illustrator work Objec&ve:  To  make  my  face  in  Illustrator

Solu&on:  I  took  an  image  of  myself  and  put  layers  on  top  of  it  in  order  to  make  my  face  an  illustra&on

mixed media project

Objec&ve:  To  make,  using  mixed  media,  a  giR  for  my  Granny.  As  you  can  see,  I  used  John  Wayne  for  my  design  because  she  is  a  huge  fan  of  him.

Solu&on:  I  designed  this  in  illustrator  by  taking  a  picture  of  the  Duke  and  doing  a  live  trace  of  it,  then  I  printed  it  on  a  t-‐shirt  for  my  Grandmother’s  Christmas  giR.

Illustrator sea monster Objec&ve:  To  make  a  sea  monster  in  illustrator  by  following  step  by  step  instruc&ons.

Solu&on:  We  used  the  gradient  tool,  shape  tool,  and  others  to  create  a  sea  monster.

Holiday memory project

PowerPoint work

Objec&ve:  To  show  what  I  did  over  the  holiday  break  from  school.  Obviously,  I  saw  a  werewolf,  went  streaking,  and  witnessed  an  old  man  flying  on  an  adult  tricycle.  True  story.

Solu&on:  I  simply  made  photos  black  and  white  and  accurately  depicted  what  happened  over  my  break.

Product pitch PowerPoint

Objec&ve:  To  create  the  introduc&on  slide  to  my  group’s  product  pitch.

Solu&on:  I  used  a  starburst  image  to  grab  the  viewer’s  eye  and  put  our  company’s  logo  very  large  and  in  the  center  to  show  who  was  presen&ng.

Zombie walk project

Objec&ve:  To  create  a  poster  for  the  Zombie  Walk  fundraiser.

Solu&on:  I  downloaded  a  zombie-‐like  font,  found  a  creepy  background,  and  added  some  zombies  approaching.
