The Group of 8 Summit will take place this year in La Maddalena, Italy from July 8th-10th. Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi will be hosting this year’s event. The CAT Company is the only publishing company to be involved with the last 12 G8 Summits in the capacity as a publisher and/or consultant. The CAT Company is proud of it’s award winning publication and has had a great working relationship with the G8 host committees over the years.

We are always creating innovative ways to reach a higher and broader audience and this year is no exception with the Inaugural Forum Preview of the G8 Summit in Washington D.C.

In terms of its circulation, corporate and organizational clients, and overall quality, our award-winning publication, the G8 Summit Magazine, published by the CAT Company, is unmatched. The G8 Summit Magazine - along with the Diplomatic Courier and a continuing relationship with the Euro Chambres and its 19 million members - are proud of our award-wining work and continue to be the leader and the most experienced publisher and consultant regarding the G8 summit.

One of the jewels in our corporate crown, however, is our editorial focus and the quality of the coverage of the issues most important to the world and industry leaders.

Our editorial department works tirelessly to maintain the highest quality publication, while covering the most topically relevant issues on the minds of G8 leaders. We are pleased to offer, for your review, some of the editorial topics that will be included in the ’09 magazine. We have a significant line up of guest writers hailing from the diplomatic, policy, and business leadership who will bring authoritative voices on the most polemic and important issues being debated by global leaders.

Our guest writers, together with our editorial department have created a publication that is both timeless and contemporary. This impressive team ensures each year that the magazine continues to be a valuable part of the permanent archive of every G8 event. Our team stands ready to answer any questions and to increase your understanding of this truly unique publication.

In 2009, we look forward to providing our clients with a publication that continues the CAT Company’s tradition of excellence.

Yours respectfully,

Chris AtkinsPresident and Founder

In 2009, the CAT Company will collaborate with the Diplomatic Courier magazine—a global affairs quarterly publication based in Washington, DC—to bring you an unprecedented number of articles and interviews penned and conducted by policy and diplomatic leaders. Its editor-in-chief, Ms. Ana Carcani Rold, a respected editor in the global affairs arena, will bring aboard her expertise and global team in creating a special bonus issue adding value and readership.

About the Diplomatic Courier Magazine

The Diplomatic Courier is an innovative global affairs magazine based in Washington, DC that serves as the bridge between the young generation of foreign policy thinkers—under 35 years old—and established diplomats, foreign policy experts, and policymakers around the world. Current publications of foreign policy abound, but none have engaged the younger talents the way the Diplomatic Courier does. With correspondents in the United States, Africa, Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Latin America, the Diplomatic Courier delivers current analysis from seasoned journalists and leaders while fostering a growing team of new and young journalists with unique and fresh perspectives. The Courier’s main focus is methods, theory, and processes in negotiations and diplomacy unlike no other publication reports them. The Courier is produced in high quality content and format. It is published online and in print, featuring two distinct publications that reach readers globally.

Editorial Content

Unique. The Diplomatic Courier is one of a kind. It covers global affairs from the perspectives of diplomacy, conflict resolution, and international negotiations.

Intergenerational. The Diplomatic Courier provides an unprecedented forum for generations in foreign policy to exchange ideas by publishing established voices alongside young talent.

Global. The Diplomatic Courier is a truly international publication with voices spanning the globe and issues that connect the world.

An Influential Audience

Intellectual. Readers of the Diplomatic Courier magazine are well-educated, active, and involved in today’s issues. They contribute to charitable organizations, write letters to the editor and elected officials, and are leaders in their field of work.

International. Readers of the Diplomatic Courier span both the nation and the globe, but the publication’s starting audience is the diplomatic and policy communities in Washington DC’s Capitol Hill and foreign embassies and New York City’s UN Headquarters.
