She was born in Washington D.C. and raised in New York City She wrote over 25 books Has traveled to more than 15 countries some

of those include… Australia, Bermuda, Canada, France, Holland,

Scotland, Singapore, Spain, Hungary, India, Ireland, London, Mexico, New Zealand and Wales

She lived in New York City and could see the Empire State Building from her apartment

She passed away on July 8th, 2004

Hobbies: Reading, being with friends, shopping, and

playing video games She also collects antique purses, stickers, salt

Loves and Hates: Loves when people feel happy and cared about

She always wanted to be a writer. She writes about kids because she cares

about them and what happens to them in school and at home.

She feels too that adults and kids share many of the situations and feelings in her books.

AMBER BROWN

Third grader Parents are separating and her father is

moving to a far away place. Justin, her best friend, is also moving away to

a distant state. Amber thinks that since Justin is moving away that she has to start looking for a new best friend. An at the end of the day she still struggles with getting her homework done on time.
