Solid Waste Management (SWM) has long been a neglected sector due to lac" o!

strong commitment on the part o! government. City 1istrict 2overnment Faisalabad

(C12F) established FWMC under section 34 o! the Companies Ordinance 5673 on

56th March 4858. he company is limited by guarantee having no share capital and

is !ormed not !or pro0t within the meaning o! Section934 o! the Companies

Ordinance. he FMWC is governed by a ,oard o! 1irectors (,O1s)% headed by a

Chairman.

+ Services and +sset Management +greement (S+M+) between C12: and FWMC% all

the !unctions and assets o! SWM department o! C12: and the M+s has beenentrusted to FWMC. FWMC aims to develop an integrated system o! solid waste

management to ensure e'cient collection% transportation% recovery% treatment and

disposal o! the waste generated in Faisalabad.
