the studioAthens, impressive with its Ancient roots, Mediterranean/

Aegean life and city characteristics, with its very basic Modern Mediterranean Architecture and current Metropolitan conditions. Which needs to be taken with a fresh look to its past, present and

future. We will work on the whole city and from a distance.

Studio will look for the new urbanity and architecture rising from the critical conditions and imaginative visions of the Athens.

Aiming to heal and push forward the existing cultural and natural environment in a critical optimistic way. It will especially

concentrate on the new modes of housing, work/production space and re-creational public space and/or their hybrid constructions

rising from critical/creative discoveries of this old-new metropolis.

As an approach, we will concentrate again on the border-lines of the city to be able to make critical readings and to

develop creative proposals; and we will apply to architectural cinematographic-sections to disclose, represent, and then to

design the visible and in-visible, critical conditions of the city. Future Visions theme will open the horizon of design and

support the creative attitudes. Imaginative projections as texts (manifestoes) and images (layered archi- cine sections/montages),

part of the approach, will help us to launch our ideas to Future and then come back Today..
