LIDAR DXB1 – 12L IGE (In-Ground Effect)

Operational since Aug. 2013

Alignment of the scan plane:

• Not perpendicular to the 12L glide scope but with an angle of 10.52- to that plane

Aircraft on glide scope is estimated to be at:

• Altitude (above 12L threshold) 238 ft based on 3 - glide scope

• Ground Range from DXB1: 709 m

LIDAR DXB2 – 30L/30R OGE (Out-Ground Effect)

Operational since Nov. 2013

Alignment of the scan plane:

• The azimuth alignment is perpendicular to the 30 L glide scope

Aircraft on glide scope is estimated to be at:

• Altitude (above 30L threshold) 1101 ft based on 3 - glide scope

• Ground Range from DXB2: 718 m

LIDAR DXB3 – 30L IGE (In-Ground Effect)

Operational since Jul. 2014

Alignment of the scan plane:

• The azimuth alignment is not perpendicular to the 30 L glide scope but with an angle of approx. 6 - from the perpendicular

Aircraft on glide scope is estimated to be at:

• Altitude (above 30L threshold) 256 ft based on 3 - glide scope

• Ground Range from DXB3: 588 m

LIDAR VAD SCAN

Measurements of:

• Radial Velocity

• Vertical Wind Speed

• Horizontal Wind Speed

• Wind Direction

• EDR (Eddy Dissipation Rate)

Frequency of 1 hour
