Setting the Stage

Current State “ABC Company” Footprint

PS HCM Implemented initially in 1996

Core HR, Benefits Administration and NA Payroll

Added Time & Labor

Compensation, Self Service and

Workflows are built into “Internal

Applications” – AKA “SANSKRIT”

Pain Points

There is no Single Source of Data

All Reporting is Done within the Data Warehouse

Manager Dashboards DO NOT Exist ABC Company did not like PS v9.0 UI

ABC Company decided to build their own UI within an existing DB

The Internal Application runs via Batch Processing and is not Dynamic

No Central Unified User Interface Poor Manager/User Experience

Led to Major Issues for the Adoption of New Functionality

No Linkage to ANY Other Systems

Patching and Updates ABC Company has no idea what PeopleTools Patches and Updates

have been applied

Only Current on Tax Updates for Payroll

Aren’t they in the Cloud Already?

Cost of Contracts is Immense

No Self Service Occurs Within the

PeopleSoft HCM Application

All Workflows are Generated from

the Internal Application Server

Recruiting – Outsourced

Performance & Goal Management

– Outsourced

Benefits – Outsourced

Learning Management –

Outsourced

Compensation – Written in

“Ancient Code” and Requires a

Dedicated Technical Resource

Absence Tracking is Manual and

loaded into a Data Warehouse
