AERIAL APPLICATION:

Notify all inhabitants in the immediate vicinity of the lands to be sprayed and issue the necessary warnings. Do not spray

over or allow drift to contaminate water or adjacent areas.

Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions the registration holder

does not warrant that it will be efficacious under all conditions because the action and effect thereof may be

affected by factors such as abnormal soil, climatic and storage conditions; quality of dilution water,

compatibility with other substances not indicated on the label and the occurrence of resistance of the pests to

the remedy concerned as well as by the method, time and accuracy of application. The registration holder

further does not accept responsibility for damage to crops, vegetation, the environment or harm to man or

animal or for lack of performance of the remedy concerned due to failure of the user to follow the label

instructions or to the occurrence of conditions which could not have been foreseen in terms of the registration.

Consult the supplier in event of any uncertainty.

PRECAUTIONS:

Do not inhale spray mist and avoid skin contact and eye splashes.

Wear protective clothing, suitable face shield, rubber gloves and boots.

Wash contaminated clothing daily. Wash with soap and water after accidental skin contact.

Avoid drift of spray onto other crops, grazing, rivers, dams and areas not under treatment.

Clean applicator after use and dispose of wash water where it will not contaminate crops, grazing, rivers or dams.

Rinse empty container three times with a volume of water equal to a minimum of 10 % of that of the container. Add the

rinsings to the contents of the spray tank before destroying the container in the prescribed manner.

Destroy empty container by perforation and flattening and do not use for any other purpose.

Do not eat, drink or smoke while mixing, applying or before washing hands and face or changing clothing.

Prevent contamination of food, feedstuffs, drinking water and eating utensils.

SYMPTOMS OF HUMAN POISONING

Effects from overexposure result from either swallowing or breathing. Symptoms of overexposure include tremors,

convulsions and in-coordination.

Contact with this product may produce skin sensations such as numbing, burning and tingling.

FIRST AID TREATMENT

Remove patient from source of poisoning and keep him quiet and reassured.

Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and rinse contaminated body area thoroughly with plenty of soap and cold water. Do

not rub skin. Get medical attention if irritation occurs and persists.

Eyes: Flush eyes with clean water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation occurs and persists, obtain medical attention.

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If breathing difficulty or discomfort occurs and persists, obtain medical attention.

Ingestion: Give the patient 1 or 2 glasses of water to drink and induce vomiting by touching the back of throat with a finger

or by giving syrup of ipecac. Never induce vomiting or give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Contact a

medical doctor.


NOTE TO PHYSICIAN

Treat symptomatically and supportively. Reversible skin sensations may occur and ordinary skin salves is recommended to

reduce discomfort. Do not administer milk, cream or other vegetable or animal fat containing substance, as they enhance

absorption. Central nervous system stimulation should be controlled with sedation.

RESISTANCE WARNING

Warning against resistance:

Resistance of American Bollworm (Helicoverpa armigera) to synthetic pyrethroids has been confirmed.

COTTON: Synthetic pyrethroids must only be applied to cotton during the period 1 January to 28 February.

Resistance of Diamond Back Moth (Plutella xylostella) on cruciferae to synthetic pyrethroids has been confirmed.

ALL OTHER CROPS: Do not apply more than two times per growing season. If a pyrethroid gives poor performance

do not respray with any synthetic pyrethroid even at a corrective dosage rate. Use a product from a different chemical

group.

For resistance management FURY

10EW is a group code 3 insecticide. Any insect population may contain individuals

naturally resistant to FURY

10EW and other group code 3 insecticide.

The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if these insecticides are used repeatedly.

These resistant insects may not be controlled by FURY

10EW or any other group code 3 insecticide.

To delay insecticide resistance:

Avoid exclusive repeated use of insecticide from the same insecticide group code. Alternate or tank mix with

products from different insecticide group codes.

Integrate the control methods (chemical, cultural, biological) into insects control programmes.

For specific information on resistance management contact the registration holder of this product.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Use only as directed.

Compatibility:

Due to the numerous formulations available and their continuous changes, it is not possible for FMC to verify the

compatibility of FURY 10EW with all the existing formulations. It is recommended to test on a small scale the physical

compatibility and the crop safety of the combination before use or to ask for advice from your supplier.

Mixing instructions: Half fill the spray tank with clean water. Measure out the required quantity of FURY 10EW and pre-mix this with at least

10 litres water. Add this to the spray tank while agitating the mixture. Fill the spray tank while maintaining agitation to

ensure thorough mixing of the spray mixture before spraying commences. Maintain agitation during the whole spraying

operation.

Ground application:

Hollow cone nozzle – conventional high volume sprayer:

Fit the spray equipment with hollow cone nozzles to obtain medium to fine droplets when using a conventional high

volume sprayer. Make sure equipment is calibrated to ensure correct application and even distribution of spray mixture

over the target area. The use of drop arms on conventional booms is recommended when spraying crops such as cotton and

tomatoes.

Do not spray plants wet with dew or rain.

Aerial application:

Aerial application of this product may only be done by a registered Aerial Application Operator using a correctly

calibrated, registered aircraft according to the instructions of SANS 10118 (Aerial Application of Agricultural Pesticides).

It is important to ensure that the spray mixture is distributed evenly over the target area and that the loss of spray material

during application is restricted to a minimum. It is therefore essential that the following criteria be met:

Volume: A spray mixture volume of 30-40 litres per hectare is recommended. As this product has not been evaluated

at a reduced volume rate, the registration holder cannot guarantee efficacy, or be held responsible for any adverse

effects if this product is applied aerially at a lower volume rate than recommended above.

Droplet coverage: A droplet coverage of 30 to 40 droplets per cm² must be recovered at the target.

Droplet size: A droplet spectrum with a VMD of 250 to 280 microns is recommended. Limit the production of

fine droplets less than 150 microns (high drift and evaporation potential) to a minimum. Flying height: The height of the spray boom should be maintained at 3 to 4 metres above the target. Do not spray

when aircraft dives, is in a climb or when banking.

Use suitable atomising equipment that will produce the desired droplet size and coverage, but which will ensure the

minimum loss of product. The spray system must produce a droplet spectrum with the lowest possible Relative Span.


Position all the atomisers within the inner 60 % to 75 % of the wingspan to prevent droplets from entering the wingtip

vortices.

The difference in temperature between the wet and dry bulb thermometers, of a whirling hygrometer, should not

exceed 8°C.

Stop aerial application if the wind speed exceeds 15 km/h.

Stop aerial application under turbulent, unstable and dry conditions during the heat of the day.

Aerial application under temperature inversion conditions (spraying in or above the inversion layer), and/or high

humidity conditions (relative humidity 80% and above) may lead to the following:

a) Reduced efficacy due to suspension and evaporation of small droplets in the air (inadequate coverage).

b) Damage to other sensitive crops and/or non-target areas through the movement of the suspended spray cloud

away from the target field.

Ensure that the Aerial Application Operator knows exactly which fields to spray.

Obtain an assurance from the Aerial Spray Operator that the above requirements will be met and that relevant data will be

compiled in a logbook and kept for future reference.

General:

All spray applications must be made with suitable equipment that is in good working order and correctly calibrated to give

the desired coverage for that particular method of application.

The efficacy of the spray mixture may be adversely affected when applied to dense row crops. Ensure that thorough

penetration and coverage is obtained when spraying and monitor efficacy within 3 days after application. A follow-up

application may be necessary.

The efficacy of FURY

10EW can be harmed by a high pH value of the spray mixture. It is more stable at a pH of around

10EW. Prepared spray mixture must not be left in the spray tank for any length of time e.g. overnight.

emergence. From then until peak flowering use registered non-pyrethroid remedies.

Maak toedieningsapparaat skoon na gebruik en gooi spoelwater uit waar dit nie voedsel, weiding, riviere of damme sal

besoedel nie.

Spoel leë houer drie keer uit met 'n volume water gelykstaande aan 'n minimum van 10 % van die houer. Gooi die

spoelwater by die inhoud van die spuittenk voordat die houer op die voorgeskrewe wyse vernietig word.

Vernietig leë houer deur gate in te slaan en plat te kap en moet dit nie vir enige ander doel gebruik nie.

Moenie eet, drink of rook nie gedurende vermenging en toediening of voordat hande en gesig gewas is en skoon klere

aangetrek is nie.

Voorkom besoedeling van voedsel, voer, eetgerei en drinkwater.

SIMPTOME VAN MENSLIKE VERGIFTIGING

Effek van uitermatige blootstelling kom voor na of inname of inaseming. Simptome van uitermatige blootstelling sluit in

bewings, stuiptrekkings en koördinasie verlies.

In kontak met die produk mag vel sensasies veroorsaak, soos gevoel van verdowing, branderigheid and tinteling.

EERSTEHULPBEHANDELING

Verwyder die pasïent van bron van vergiftiging en hou hom rustig en kalm.

Velkontak: Verwyder gekontamineerde klere en spoel geaffekteerde liggaamsdele deeglik met oorvloedige seep en koue

water. Moet nie vel hard vryf nie. Ontbied mediese hulp indien irritasie voorkom en voortduur.


Oogkontak: Spoel oë uit met skoon water vir ten minste 15 minute. Indien irritasie voorkom en voortduur, ontbied

mediese hulp.

Ingeasem: Neem na vars lug. Indien asemhalingsprobleme of ongemak voorkom en voortduur, ontbied mediese hulp.

Ingesluk: Gee vir die pasiënt 1 of 2 glase water om te drink en veroorsaak braking deur die agterste gedeelte van die keel

met vinger te irriteer, of deur ipekakuanha stroop vir pasiënt te gee. Moet nooit braking veroorsaak of enige iets per mond

gee indien die persoon bewussyn verloor het. Kontak „n mediese dokter.

NOTA AAN GENEESHEER

Behandel simptomaties en ondersteunend. Omkeerbare vel sensasies mag voorkom en alledaagse salf word aanbeveel om

ongemak te verlig. Moet nie melk, room of enige ander groente of diere vet bevattende middels vir die pasiënt ingee nie,

aangesien dit absorpsie bevorder. Sentrale senuweestelsel stimulasies behoort onder beheer gebring te word deur middel

van verdowing.

WEERSTANDSWAARSKUWING

Waarskuwing teen bestandheid:

Weerstand van Amerikaanse bolwurm (Helicoverpa armigera) teen sintetiese piretroïedes is bevestig.

KATOEN: Sintetiese piretroïedes moet slegs gedurende die periode 1 Januarie tot 28 Februarie toegedien word.

Weerstand van Ruitrugmot (Plutella xylostella) op koolgewasse teen sintetiese piretroïedes is bevestig. ALLE ANDER GEWASSE: Moet nie meer as twee keer per groeiseisoen toedien nie. As 'n piretroïedbespuiting swak

beheer gee, moet nie met enige sintetiese piretroïed, selfs teen 'n korrektiewe dosis, herspuit nie. Gebruik 'n produk uit 'n

ander chemiegroep.

FURY

10EW is „n groepkode 3 insekdoder. Enige populasie van „n spesifieke insek mag individue insluit wat „n

natuurlike weerstand teen FURY

10EW of enige ander groepkode 3 insekdoder het.

Indien hierdie insekdoder herhaaldelik aangewend word, kan die weerstandbiedende individue uiteindelik die insek

populasie oorheers.

Hierdie weerstandbiedende insekte sal waarskynlik nie deur FURY

10EW of enige ander groepkode 3 insekdoder

beheer word nie.

Om weerstand teen insekdoders te vertraag:

Vermy die eksklusiewe herhaaldelike gebruik van insekdoders met dieselfde groepkode. Wissel af met, of

gebruik tenkmengsels van produkte in verskillende insekdodergroepkodes.

Integreer ander beheermaatreëls (chemies, verbouing, biologies) in insekdoder programme.

Vir spesifieke inligting oor weerstandsbestuur kontak die registasiehouer van hierdie produk.

GEBRUIKSAANWYSINGS: Gebruik alleenlik soos aangedui.

Verenigbaarheid:

Aangesien vele formulasies beskikbaar is en voortdurend verander, is dit nie vir FMC moontlik om die verenigbaarheid van

FURY

10EW met al die bestaande formulasies te bevestig nie. „n Mengbaarheidstoets op klein skaal word aanbeveel

sodat die fisiese verenigbaarheid en veiligheid vir die gewas van „n kombinasie bepaal kan word, alvorens gebruik word.

Menginstruksies:

Vul die spuittenk halfvol met water. Meet die verlangde hoeveelheid FURY

10EW af en meng vooraf met tenminste 10

liter water. Voeg dit by die spuittenk terwyl geroer word. Vul die spuittenk terwyl aanhoudend geroer word om deeglike

vermenging te verseker voordat bespuiting begin. Hou aan met roer tydens die spuitproses.

Grondtoediening:

Holkeël spuitpunte - konvensionele hoë volume spuitapparaat:

Spuitapparaat wat met holkeël spuitpunte toegerus is en sodat medium- tot fyn druppels gelewer word wanneer met „n

konvensionele hoë volume apparaat toegedien word. Kalibreer die apparaat voor toediening om te verseker dat die regte

dosis gelewer word. Die verspreiding van die spuitmengsel moet egalig oor die teikengebied wees. Die gebruik van val-

arms op konvensionele spuitbalk word aanbeveel wanneer gewasse soos katoen en tamatiese gespuit word.

Moet nie plante wat nat is as gevolg van dou of reën spuit nie.

Lugtoediening:

Hierdie produk mag slegs deur „n geregistreerde Lugbespuitingsoperateur met „n korrek gekalibreerde, geregistreerde

vliegtuig volgens die instruksies van SANS 10118 (Aerial Application of Agricultural Pesticides) uit die lug bespuit word.

Dit is belangrik om te verseker dat die spuitmengsel eweredig oor die teikenarea versprei word en dat die verlies aan

spuitmengsel tydens toediening tot „n minimum beperk word. Dit is dus belangrik om die aan volgende kriteria te voldoen:


Volume: „n Spuitmengsel volume van 30-40 liter per ha word aanbeveel. Aangesien hierdie produk nie teen „n

verlaagde volume getoets is nie, kan die registrasie houer nie effektiteit waarborg, of verantwoordelik gehou

word vir enige nadelige effekte indien hierdie produk teen „n laer volume, as hierbo aanbeveel, uit die lug

toegedien word nie.

Druppel bedekking: „n Druppelbedekking van 30 tot 40 druppels per cm² moet op die teikenarea herwin word.

Druppelgrootte: „n Druppelspektrum met „n VMD van 250 tot 280 mikrons word aanbeveel. Verseker dat die

produksie van fyn druppels (kleiner as 150 mikrons) tot „n minimum beperk word.

Vlieghoogte: Die hoogte van die spuitbalk moet op 3 tot 4 meter bo die teiken gehandhaaf word. Moet nie spuit

terwyl die vliegtuig duik, uitklim of draai nie.

Gebruik geskikte atomiseeringsapparaat wat die vereiste druppelgrootte en bedekking sal produseer, maar wat die

minste verlies van produk sal verseker. Die spuitstelsel moet „n druppelspektrum met die kleinste moontlike

Relatiewe Span produseer. Plaas al die atomiseerders in die binnste 60 % tot 75 % van die vlerkspan om die

beweging van druppels in die vlerkpuntvorteks in te beperk.

Die verskil in temperatuur tussen die nat- en droëboltermometer van „n swaaihigrometer, moet nie 8°C oorskry

nie.

Stop lugbespuiting indien die windspoed 15 km/h oorskry.

Stop lugbespuiting tydens turbulente, onstabiele en droë toestande gedurende die hitte van die dag.

Lugtoediening onder temperatuur inversie toestande (deur bo of binne die inversie laag te spuit), en/of onder hoë

lugvog toestande (relatiewe humiditeit 80% en hoër) mag tot die volgende aanleiding gee:

a) Verlaagde effektiwiteit aangesien die druppels as „n wolk in die lug bly hang en moontlik verdamp

(onvoldoende bedekking op teiken).

b) Skade aan ander sensitiewe gewasse en/of nie-teiken areas as gevolg van die wegdrywing van die

spuitwolk vanaf die teiken area.

Verseker dat die Lugbespuitingsoperateur presies weet watter lande gespuit moet word.

Verkry die versekering van die Lugbespuitingsoperateur dat aan die bogenoemde vereistes voldoen sal word en dat data

van belang in „n logboek saamgevat is en vir toekomstige verwysing beskikbaar is.

Algemeen:

Alle toedienings moet met geskikte toerusting in werkende orde en reg gekalibreer, gespuit word om die verlangde

bedekking vir die besondere toedieningsmetode te gee.

Die effektiwiteit van die spuitmengsel mag nadelig geaffekteer word wanneer op digte rygewasse toegedien word.

Verseker deeglike penetrasie en bedekking van teikenarea tydens toediening en monitor die effektiwiteit binne 3 dae na

toediening. „n Opvolgbespuiting mag nodig wees.

Die doeltreffendheid van FURY

10EW mag deur 'n hoë pH in die spuitoplossing verlaag word. Dit is meer stabiel by 'n

pH van omstreeks 4. Indien 'n versuringsmiddel gebruik word om die pH te verlaag, moet die versuringsmiddel eers in die

water toegedien word voordat FURY

10EW bygevoeg word. Aangemaakte spuitoplossing moenie onnodig oorgelaat

word nie, veral nie oornag.
