The 2nd International Conference on Pesticidal Plants (ICPP 2017)
ICPP2017 will be organized around a four-day programme of events and themed scientific sessions focused on the sustainable use of plants in agricultural and livestock pest management. Opportunities to visit Victoria Falls and local wildlife will be organized during the week as well as pre and post–conference tours to nearby wildlife parks such as Hwange National Park. Keynote Plenary Speakers will lead themed sessions on different aspects of pesticidal plant use. Oral and poster sessions will follow with opportunities to hold workshops and exhibitions. Abstracts will be printed as part of the conference pack, with prospects to publish papers in special issues of peer-reviewed journals and a Conference Proceedings.

The overall aim of the OPTIONs (Optimising Pesticidal Plants: Technology Innovation, Outreach and Networks) project is to promote and facilitate uptake of pesticidal plant technologies for improved food security, which are deployed sustainably and effectively. Building capacities of research and development institutions to promote science, technology and innovation and ena-bling effective outreach of plant materials in pest man-agement are core objectives of the project. OPTIONs brings together expertise from across Africa and the globe to develop effective and high calibre collabora-tions among multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional teams of scientists to enhance effective use of pesti-cidal plants.
