Stunning GCSE results as pupils excel in subjects across the curriculum Year 11 pupils at Brynrion Comprehensive School have again been rewarded for their hard work by achieving a truly remarkable set of results. An incredible 62% of students achieved A*/A grades A superb 64% of students secured the ‘gold standard’ 5 or more A*-C grades including the new reformed English and Maths/ Numeracy qualificaons 74% of students gained an A*-C grade in English 74% of students achieved an A*-C grade in Maths 100% of students secured an A*-C grade in Science 24 students achieved 10 or more A*-A grades, 32 students achieved 8 or more A*-A grades and a magnificent 52 students achieved 5 or more A*-A grades. The wide range of achievement across the full breadth of GCSE subjects highlights the excellent range of subjects on offer to students to suit their varied interests and abilies. Headteacher, Mr. Nick Brain remarked: With 99% of pupils gaining 5 or more GCSE grades or equivalent, it is wonderful to report such outstanding results once again and we are incredibly proud to celebrate the fantasc achievements of all of our Year 11 students. These results reflect the hard work and commitment of students, parents and teachers to achieve results of the highest standard. Sixth form students at Bryntirion have once again excelled in their achievements at A-Level, achieving

fantastic results!

With a purely A Level academic curriculum, the percentage of pupils achieving A*-C exceeded 97%

100% of students achieved at least 2 A*-E grades

Well over three quarters (82%) of the grades achieved were at the higher A*-C

30% of the grades achieved were at the highest A*-A

At AS Level:

80% of students achieved A-C grades

95% achieved A-E grades

20% of pupils achieved A grades

“These are outstanding results and a just reward

for all the hard work and commitment of the pupils

and staff. The outstanding working relationships

between students and staff are reflected in the

superb achievements of our students. The broad

range of opportunities offered at Bryntirion have

enabled our students to secure jobs, apprentice-
