Coincidences are exceptions in life. Things usually happen for a reason. This is probably

why in 1858 company founder Jean Jacques Arbenz established himself in Schaffhausen,

Switzerland, where everything indispensable for the production of his discerning jewellery

was readily to hand: a notable tradition of craftsmanship together with an inspiring environ-

ment. The magnificent location on the Rhine, the medieval town centre, the surrounding

natural beauty, the overwhelming power of the Rhine Falls. All this was and is a source of

a creative strength which has always inspired the development of exceptional pieces of

jewellery.

Already in the first half of the 20th century, Fritz Furrer had dedicated himself passionately

to the business. In 1943, he joined forces, in business and in life, with Lucienne Jacot from

French-speaking Switzerland. Since then, they have built a partnership based on creativity

and precision manufacturing that has endured to this day.

Today Furrer-Jacot stands for a more than 150-year tradition of craftsmanship for custom-

made jewellery, particularly exclusive wedding, engagement and eternity rings. Although

the former one-man enterprise has developed into a producer of exclusive jewellery with a

world-wide presence, dedication to the highest standards of craftsmanship and distinctive

production remains at the heart of Furrer-Jacot’s thoughts and actions.

Based in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, our company sets the highest quality standards –

not only in terms of design, but also with respect to realising our customers’ individual

wishes. Each ring is produced individually in Schaffhausen; preferences concerning the

choice of materials, the width of the ring or the diamond setting are gladly implemented

by our highly skilled craftsmen. To Furrer-Jacot, compelling and timeless design is just

as important as “traditional” values, such as an inspiring working environment for our

experienced specialists and the use of top-quality materials.

Furrer-Jacot uses only the most precious metals, such as gold, platinum and palladium,

for its jewellery. Both platinum and palladium are alloyed to a purity of 95% (Pt 950,

Pd 950), and gold – probably the most traditional precious metal – to a purity of 75%

(Au 750). These concentrated, dense materials and special platinum, gold and palladium

alloys are completely nonporous and provide an extraordinarily comfortable fit. We

procure our alloyed base metals from specialised companies, and our diamonds are

supplied exclusively from controlled sources.

Using these top-quality base materials, Furrer-Jacot produces all pieces to the exacting

specifications of its chief designer. The Furrer-Jacot team is characterised by a complete

chain of professional craftsmen, from designers and model-makers to goldsmiths, stone

setters, lathe operators, polishers and engravers. This ensures that all production steps

are performed by specialised craftsmen at our own facility in Schaffhausen. Drawing

on our unique knowledge of traditional handicraft passed down over generations, and

employing the most innovative techniques, we fashion precious and unforgettable

jewellery.

Individual “Swiss-made” production, strict ethical standards and the best service: these

key values are reflected in our work. This enables the house of Furrer-Jacot to provide

servicing and a warranty that go far beyond the usual.

as a visionary design study, the Sculptures collection has developed into the flagship

of Furrer-Jacot. Referring to them as “pieces of jewellery” does not do justice to these

rings. They are much more than that: exclusive sculptures intricately designed and hand-

crafted from individual parts that are meticulously fashioned by our master goldsmiths.

3. The precious metals

Choose the metal which you feel most comfortable with: 950 platinum, 750 yellow, red

or white gold, or 950 palladium. All of these precious metals can also be converted into

bicolour rings, e.g. classic yellow/white, warm yellow/red or contemporary white/red.

4. The surfaces

Accentuate your wedding band through your choice of surface: polished, longitudinal

matt, transverse matt, corund matt, pearly matt or something a little more intense, e.g.

finely hand-chiselled or classic ice matt.

Furrer-Jacot products are worn for generations. Therefore, we appreciate your purchase as the

beginning of a lifelong partnership.

For three years from the purchase date, we warrant for all material and manufacturing errors.

The sole exclusions are damage as a consequence of an accident, negligent care or as a result of

normal wear and tear. For two years from the purchase date, Furrer-Jacot rings are refurbished

free of charge. These complementary services are exclusive of post and packaging costs. Sub-

sequent servicing is subject to a fee. Wear marks, which every ring exhibits after a certain time,

are completely normal and give the ring part of its character over the years.

Depending upon the use of the ring, we recommend that you visit your jeweller’s one to two

years after your purchase to have your piece checked and professionally examined. If necessary,

he will forward us your ring for professional servicing. It goes without saying that we will ser vice

your piece of jewellery regardless of its age.

As a distinguishing mark, each ring is stamped with the FJ logo. Furrer-Jacot vouches for “Swiss-

made” quality and the authenticity of the materials used (both precious metals and stones). Our

rings are produced in accordance with the highest standards of Swiss goldsmith art.
