This  document  provides  small  and  medium-­‐sized  enterprises  (SMEs)  informa;on  on  targeted  EU  and   related   funding   instruments.   The   document   aims   to   answer   the   ques;ons   regarding   to  what  funding  instruments  there  are  and  which  of  them  are  suitable  for  your  business  sector.  Many  of  the   instruments   listed  here  have  a  strong  connec;on  with  na;onal   funding  agencies.  This  makes   the   funding  process   straighCorward  and  eases   the  amount  of  needed  paperwork.  Table  1   represents   the   sectors  or   topics  which  are  eligible   to   receive  EU   funding   for  different  phases  of  new  high  tech  business.  The  funding  instruments  are  marked  with  different  colors  and  include   the   upcoming   calls   with   their   deadlines.   Clicking   on   the   colored   cells   lead   to   the  websites  of  the  call.  Table  2  gives  more  detailed  informa;on  on  the  actual  instruments  and  calls.

Telecommunica/ons:  everything  needed  to  establish,  run  and  secure  the  communica/on.  future  end-­‐to-­‐end  services,  like  digital  home,  digital  enterprise,  digital  city,  digital  school,  digital  transport,  and  e-­‐health,  as  well  as  horizontal  services,  like  security,  public  safety  and  iden/ty.  Future  “greener”  telecommunica/ons.  

Depending  on  the  na/onal  funding  decisions,  of  up  to  50%.  Can  be  between  2  M€  and  up  to  70  M€  in  total  project  budgets.  A  Cel/c  label  does  not  give  any  confirma/on  that  public  funding  has  been  agreed  for  that  project.  The  funding  nego/a/on  s/ll  needs  to  be  done  by  each  project  partner  individually.

Bofom-­‐up,  industry  driven,  market  oriented  programme  which  addresses  all  areas  of  the  energy  mix,  from  renewable  energy,  low-­‐carbon  energy  technologies  to  efficiency,  and  reduc/on  of  carbon  footprint  of  fossil  fuels  

Funding  is  granted  via  Eureka  countries'  na/onal  program,  the  label  does  not  guarantee  public  funding.  For  Finnish  SMEs:  grants  up  to  65%    BIG  COMPANY:  grants  up  to  50%  (Tekes  funding  rules)

The  exchange  of  experience  takes  place  in  your  company  during  a  stay  of  young  entrepreneur  

Stay  can  last  between  one  and  six  months.  The  person  you  host  gets  a  grant  (950€/month  in  Finland),  and  there  is  no  charge  to  your  company  

New  Entrepreneur  and  Host  Entrepreneur  must  be  from  different  countries

About  ENVISION  

In  the  current  tough  economic  environment,  business  model  innova;on  can  be  the  key  to  becoming  

or  staying  compe;;ve.  To  support  European  compe;;veness  and  job  crea;on,  the  ENVISION  project  

aims  at  ac;va;ng  small  and  medium  sized  enterprises  (SME)  across  Europe  to  re-­‐think  and  transform  

their   business   models   with   the   help   of   an   easy-­‐to-­‐use,   open-­‐access   web   plaCorm.   Through   this  

plaCorm,   every   small   or   medium   company,   regardless   of   the   country,   sector   or   industry,   will   be  

guided  in  selec;ng  the  right  tools  for  their  business  makeover.  The  plaCorm  is  being  built  for  the  use  

of  20  million  European  SMEs.
