Section A - Home Design Geri is decorating her studio flat. She plans to use wallpaper on the walls and paint all the woodwork. To help her work out how much wallpaper she will need, she measures the flat and draws herself a diagram. She works out that the floor space is square; it is 5m long and 5m wide. The walls are 3m high. 1. To help her decide how much wallpaper she will need, she starts by working out the area of the four walls. What is the total area of the four walls? You must show your working. (3 marks)
