With the function toolkit Generic Application Template (GAT), you can create template-based modular machine software for reusable appli-cations.

Create your projects directly in the Generic Application Template integrated in IndraWorks Engineering and choose from example programs, applica-tion templates, or a complete template with a prepared framework application.Status machines, operating modes, data interfaces, and typical sequences are already fully integrated in the Generic Application Template (GAT). You can create application-specific extensions via the intuitively-operated wizard. The wizard guides you directly to the location of the open IEC 61131-3 project where the user codes are entered.This approach and the consistent modular structure of the machine project not only speeds up the creation of a new project, but increases software quality and engineering efficiency as a result of subsequent adjustments and enhancements. In contrast to conventional, static programming tem-plates, you are able to use wizards to structure the ideal program size for your application. The PLC application grows dynamically, so that program structure is retained through automatic code generation even after many changes.
