GAMESTreasure Grab: For this game, you’ll need “treasure” (scraps of balled up paper) Stuffed animals or soft balls and island and a pirate ship. Put the treasure (paper balls) in the middle of the room. On one end of the room you will have a ship, on the other end you will have the island(be creative) One person stands in the island trying to hit the pirates as they are grabbing the treasure. Use stuffed animals or soft balls to tag the pirates from the island.

The pirates may only grab one treasure at a time and once they’ve been hit they are out and the remaining pirates continue until all treasure is taken from the middle of the room to the ship.

Bomb the Pirate ShipFor this game, you’ll need two large cardboard boxes. Kids can decorate them to look like pirate ships if they want. Place the ships a couple of feet away from each other. Divide guests into two teams and have each one gather at a pirate ship. When you signal the start of the game, each pirate crew will bomb the other ship with cannonballs. You can make your own cannonballs out of things like crumpled up newspaper or aluminum foil. When time is up, count how many cannonballs are in each box. The team that landed the most in the opposing ship wins.

Find the CrocodileThis game is especially fun for fans of "Peter Pan" who will recall that Tick-Tock the crocodile swallowed Captain's Hook's hand, and has been hunting him ever since. Luckily for Hook, the croc also swallowed a ticking clock, so the Captain always hears him coming.Send one player out of the room. This player is Captain Hook. Set a ticking kitchen timer for two minutes and tie it to a stuffed crocodile. Have the rest of the players hide the ticking crocodile. Bring Captain Hook back into the room. If he can find the crocodile before the timer goes off, he wins a prize. If the timer goes off first, however, he is "eaten by the croc" and out of the game. Play enough rounds so that everyone has a turn to be Captain Hook.Tip: You could put the timer inside your new homemade treasure box you made yesterday instead of a croc. Don’t have a kitchen timer? Use your phone 😉

Fun Treasure Hunt & Scavenger Hunt Ideas:Link https://www.creativebiblestudy.com/support-files/bible-hunt-clues.pdf1)  Find the CluesThis treasure hunt will be so fun and you will have a blast watching your kids figure these clues out. We chose this type treasure hunt for two reasons, reason number 1 it can be done as a family, all children participating at once. TIP: Just make sure everyone gets a turn to actually be the one to find the clue and read it out or you will have melt downs that the older children took over and the little ones didn’t get a chance to find anything. Reason number 2, kids not only get to find candy treats at the end, but also Biblical scriptures during the hunt. Below is a printable copy of clues with objects that are found in most homes. You will give them the first clue to begin. Rhyming clues are always great; You can also use Scripture clues that are fun. The first clue will lead to the second, the second to the third, and so on. The final clue led them to "the treasure" - a loot of candy or any treat that you know will be make it a great experience at the end. Scripture clues can be written out or for a Bible drill activity, just give them the reference and have them look the Bible verses up.

Sample Scripture clues:* Matthew 16:19: "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."["Keys" - leave next clue either where you keep your car keys or on the piano keys if you have one.]* Matthew 7:8 "For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."["Door" - leave the next clue on the front door.]* Psalm 69:2: "I sink in the miry depths, where there is no foothold. I have come into the deep waters; the floods engulf me."["Sink" - leave the next clue in the kitchen sink]* 1 Kings 17:19: ""Give me your son," Elijah replied. He took him from her arms, carried him to the upper room where he was staying, and laid him on his bed."["Bed" - leave the next clue under a bed]

Printable copy of 14 Bible Treasure Hunt clues.   These may be used with varying difficulty for different ages.  For younger kids you may want to give them the verse printed out and the "clue" word highlighted or underlined.  A little more difficulty would be not marking the "clue" word and having them figure it out.  But for older children or even using this as a youth activity, you may want to only give them the printed Bible references in order.  They can work together as teams looking them up and locating a clue or do it individually.  There is also a "hider's key" for you to be able to keep up with each clue's location!  :)

GAMESThe Pirate Ship RaceFirst of, all you need two cardboard boxes, one for each team. Each team is made up of two people, one sits in the box, and the other pushes the box. On the mark of “GO”, the person standing on both teams pushes the “ship” (while the other team member is sitting in the box). They race down the fake stream till they get to the end and then the team members switch places and race back down the fake stream. The first team to get back is the winning team. You can have multiple races until you get to the number one winning team. Have some sort of prize for the winners.

Parents help your kids create a treasure box and hide it until the end of our Summer Blast or Hide it in different spots each day! As kids are searching for the treasure, they find the treasure box parents have created and inside can be the memory verse and maybe a small mirror so as they open it they see themselves or a picture of the child and know that they are special treasure. Maybe some candy. Kids love candy! Use Clues and hints to help them look for the treasure!
