Number of Workshops: 150 Number of Exhibitors: 250

The Western Washington Fairgrounds is home to the world-famous Puyallup Fair—one of the largest state fairs in the United States. In 2011, MOTHER EARTH NEWS launched its inaugural West Coast version of the MOTHER EARTH NEWS FAIR at the venue’s state-of-the-art Americraft Showplex. Thousands of attendees experienced dozens of informative, hands-on workshops on more than 10 stages peppered throughout the Showplex and across the neighboring courtyard into the venue’s Centennial building. As anticipated, our guests showed up eager to learn and then set their newfound knowledge into motion as they shopped with our exhibitors. For 2012, expect to see new workshops based on what was most popular in 2011, more outdoor features, more exhibitors and a bigger stage site for our keynote speakers. Throughout both days, the FAIR buzzed with action as the MOTHER EARTH NEWS culture came to life! Check out images and video from 2011 at www.MotherEarthNewsFair.com.

Number of Workshops: 200 Number of Exhibitors: 250

The second annual MOTHER EARTH NEWS FAIR at Seven Springs Mountain Resort was a SMASH! More than 13,000 guests enjoyed the setting of this beautiful four-season resort nestled in the rolling Laurel Highlands approximately one hour southeast of Pittsburgh, Pa. Check out images from 2011 at www.MotherEarthNewsFair.com. Fortunately we learned a thing or two from the previous year and the traffi c fl owed through our designated workshop and exhibitor spaces effortlessly. For 2012, we’ve added a third day, so attendees can take advantage of expanded workshop programming and spend more time perusing our exhibitors.

Perhaps this attendee surveyed from our 2011 event sums it up best:

“There are so many good things to see and so many people, it’s hard to fi nd time to see the vendors ... but we make it work!”
