“Dream of S.T.E.A.M” Expo Fueling the Future

Dear Prospective Donors:

As international statistics show, there is a serious decline in S.T.E.A.M education in

America. To combat that, Maggie Street Community Development Corporation

(MSCDC), Darby Enterprises, LLD, and A.S.E. of Ages, LLC are partnering together in

order to provide a S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Agricultural, and

Mathematics) Expo. The mission of the expo is to provide GREAT OUTREACH

OPPORTUNITY for nationally available S.T.E.A.M related programs, funding

organizations, and universities to exhibit their products and services to the Alabama

community. Our ultimate goal is to increase the amount of youth that are pursuing

programs and careers that are S.T.E.A.M related.

The “Dream of S.T.E.A.M” Expo will be held January 21st, 2017 at Maggie Street

Baptist Church Dream Center, 642 Maggie St, Montgomery, AL 36106. The expo will be

from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. With several public and private schools, local youth

programs, universities, and organizations in the state of Alabama we are expecting an

audience of at least 500.

In addition, our special guest, Dr. Thomas Mensah, will be launching his great plan to

build Silicon Valley of the South- to Alabama. Dr. Thomas Mensah is an internationally

known chemical engineering celebrity known for his extensive work in fields such as

fiber optics and nanotechnology. He plans to increase S.T.E.A.M related job

opportunities to our local communities add events proceeding the expo. To learn more

We are asking for your assistance with our expo. A percentage of the proceeds will be

directed to developing S.T.E.A.M related programs. In addition, percentage of the

proceeds will be used to purchase S.T.E.A.M related equipment and activities to enhance

local youth programs. These S.T.E.A.M programs will provide youth with academic

confidence and aids the discovery of a greater purpose for their lives which increases the

opportunity for a brighter future in S.T.E.A.M related careers.

To carry forward our ambitious projects, we request you to help us financially. By

making a tax deductible donation to our organization, you will directly contribute to the

success of our youth programs. Additionally, you will be recognized for your generosity

as a program supporter.
