In February 2011, FTSE Group became the world’s first global index provider to launch an iPhone app, providing investors worldwide with real-time updates on the world’s most widely recognised, referenced and traded indices. As of October 2011, as part of an expansion to the app, real-time values for the FTSE/JSE Top 40 were added, enabling investors worldwide to monitor the index from any time and any place.
