New FeaturesThe following features are new or changed for the S60 with FTOS version 8.3.3.4

    Feature Feature Description

Stacking Using the FTOS stacking feature, multiple S-Series switch units can be interconnected with stacking interfaces. The stack becomes manageable as a single switch through a stack member that is designated as the management unit. The S60 supports up to 12 stack members with FTOS version 8.3.3.4.

HyperLink 1.0 (Note) HyperLink 1.0 maintains network connectivity and security in VMware x.x and Citrix XenServer x.x environments by automating VM/VLAN provisioning.

SmartScripts 1.0 (Note) SmartScripts 1.0 improves network availability and manageability by allowing customers to deploy custom monitoring and management tools native on S60 network switches using Perl and Python scripting tools.

Note: Although these CLIs do appear in FTOS 8.3.3.4, these features are in Beta version and will be fully release at a future date. Contact your Dell Force10 representative for information regarding these features availability.
