The Florida Stormwater Association was incorporated in1993 by and for professionals in stormwatermanagement and finance. Its focus is on stormwaterutilities, best practices in stormwater management, andregulatory policy and programs. A 22-member Board ofDirectors and four-member Executive Committee governthe Association. A parallel Educational Foundationprovides research and scholarship services.
FSA’s Core Member Services
Training and EducationFSA conducts an extensive series of educational eventsthroughout the year. Its Annual Conference is held in June,Fall Seminar in September and Winter Conference inDecember. In addition, the Fogarty Training Center offers 25 Stormwater Operator Certification classes throughoutthe year. Members receive discounted rates for all trainingand educational services.
Networking and Information SharingFSA publishes its “FastTracks” e-newsletter ten timeseach year. The Association’s Stormwater Utility Report ispublished every two years. The manual “Establishing aStormwater Utility in Florida” is in its 3rd edition.Legislative updates are provided weekly during eachLegislative Session. Connect with your fellow membersusing our online Membership Directory.
Advocacy FSA advocates for the interests of stormwater managers,programs and utilities in front of the Florida Legislature,state and federal agencies, and trial and appellatecourts. Members are actively represented in Tallahassee.Members are kept up to date on developments in thelegislative, agency and judicial arenas as they occur.
