INTRODUCTIONLet the Parking Attendant help you consistently guide your car to a safe stopping distance. The Parking Attendant is low maintenance, easy to install, and operates for about a year without having to replace the batteries under normal use.The Parking Attendant consists of a sensor module and a display module. The sensor module transmits harmless ultrasound pulses that are reflected by an incoming object. When a vehicle is detected, more pulses are transmitted to track the incoming vehicle speed and distance. The display unit, mounted where the driver can easily see it, uses a bright GREEN light to indicate that the vehicle has been detected. A bright YELLOW light indicates when you are close to your stopping distance. When the vehicle reaches the desired stopping distance, a RED light will illuminate and stay on

INSTALLING BATTERIESBatteries will last for approximately one year. When it is time to replace the batteries, a flashing red LED will appear in the display module (after the solid red LED times out) to warn the user.

Using the slide switch located on the back of the sensor unit, you can set the Parking Attendant to your desired stopping distance. Unit works best when the path between sensor unit and car is free from any obstructions.

Place the larger Velcro piece onto the back of the sensor module in between the two battery compartments.

Place the smaller Velcro piece onto the back of the display module between the screw holes.Clean a small area of the wall which is easily seen by a driver of an incoming vehicle (B). Place the corresponding Velcro piece onto this area.

Clean a small area of the wall which is along the center line of the parking area, at the same height as the bumper of the vehicle that the Parking Attendant will be used with (A). Make sure that all dust and debris have been removed from this area. The sensor module should also be directed towards the center of the car. Place the corresponding Velcro piece onto the cleaned area. The module should hang vertically on the wall.

MOUNTING THE PARKING ALERTVELCRO MOUNTING:

Remove screws from the battery compartment cover on the back of the sensor module and remove cover.Insert 4 new “AA’ alkaline batteries (not included) according to polarity diagram inside battery compartment. Replace cover and screws.

IMPORTANT: Remove batteries before storing the Parking Attendant for extended periods. Batteries corrode over time and may cause permanent damage to the unit. Different types of batteries or new and used batteries should not be mixed. Exhausted batteries should be removed from the unit and disposed of properly.

SETTING THE DESIRED STOPPING DISTANCEThe Parking Attendant has 3 selectable stopping distances.

SCREW MOUNTING:Four Screws required (not included). Recommend 4mm diameter pan-head screws.

Using 2 screws, mount the sensor module along the center line of the parking area, at the same height as the bumper of the vehicle that the Parking Attendant will be used with.

Using a screw, mount the display module above the sensor module where it can be easily seen by a driver of an incoming vehicle.

OPERATIONThe Parking Attendant should now be properly installed and ready to go. However, it is advised that you test that both the modules are mounted and functioning correctly.

TESTPull vehicle slowly into parking area until display unit shows a green light (vehicle detection), then a yellow light (vehicle tracking), and then a red light when the stopping zone is reached.

LOW BATTERY WARNINGWhen the batteries in the Parking Attendant need replacement, the display module will show a flashing RED indicator light following all parking events. Please replace batteries promptly following the previous directions. The Parking Attendant was designed to provide up to 1 year of battery life under average use conditions.

NOTE:Parking Attendant stop distances can vary due to temperature, weather and vehicle type. It is important to check your reaction time and leave sufficient stopping distance for these variations Always test the desired stop distance when parking a new vehicle and adjust mounting location or stopping distance if necessary.

The Parking Attendant was designed for slow speed parking. For rapid entrance speeds, the display module may not accurately reflect distance.The Parking Attendant is not suitable for use in wet locations.

El dispositivo de asistencia de estacionamiento requiere poco mantenimiento, es fácil de instalar y funciona casi un año sin tener que reemplazar las baterías bajo uso normal.El dispositivo de asistencia de estacionamiento consiste de un módulo sensor y una pantalla. El módulo sensor transmite impulsos inofensivos que se reflejan por objetos entrantes. El sensor transmite más impulsos en cuanto detecta un vehículo, siguiendo de cerca la distancia y velocidad. La pantalla, instalada donde el conductor puede verla fácilmente indica en VERDE que el vehículo ha sido detectado por el sensor. Una luz AMARILLA indica la aproximación al sitio de parada. Una vez que el vehículo alcanza la distancia de estacionamiento deseado, una luz ROJA se ilumina y permanece encendida.

COMO INSTALAR LAS BATERÍASLas baterías duran aproximadamente un año. Cuando es hora de reemplazar las baterías, el diodo emisor de luz (LED) brilla intermitentemente en la pantalla (después de que la luz fija LED se retrasa) para advertir al usuario.

Use el interruptor corredizo en el dorso del módulo sensor para ajustar la distancia de parada a su gusto. El aparato funciona mejor cuando el paso entre el sensor y el vehículo se encuentra libre de obstáculos.

Coloque el pedazo de Velcro más grande en el dorso del módulo sensor, entre el compartimiento de las dos baterías.

Coloque el pedazo de Velcro pequeño en el dorso de la pantalla, entre los agujeros de los tornillos.Limpie un área pequeña en la pared que pueda ser divisada fácilmente por el conductor del vehículo entrante (B). Coloque el pedazo de Velcro correspon-diente en esta área.

Limpie bien un área pequeña de la pared a lo largo de la línea del centro del área de parqueo, a la misma altura del parachoques del vehículo con el cual va a usar el módulo (A). Asegúrese de limpiar bien todo el polvo y residuos de esta área. El módulo sensor también debe permanecer dirigido hacia el centro del vehículo. Coloque el pedazo de Velcro correspondi-ente en el área limpia. El módulo debe quedar verticalmente en la pared.

MONTAJE DEL MÓDULO DE PARQUEOMONTAJE CON VELCRO:

Retire los tornillos del compartimiento de las baterías en la parte trasera del módulo sensor y retire la cubierta.Inserte 4 baterías alcalinas “AA” (no incluidas) según el diagrama de polaridad adentro del compartimiento.Instale nuevamente la cubierta y los tornillos.

IMPORTANTE: Retire las baterías antes de guardar el Asistente de Estacionamiento por largos períodos de tiempo. Las baterías se oxidan con el tiempo y podrían ocasionar daño permanente al aparato. No se debe utilizar diferentes tipos de baterías ni se beben combinar baterías nuevas con baterías usadas. Las baterías inservibles se deben retirar y despojar debidamente.

MONTAJE CON TORNILLOS:Se requiere cuatro tornillos (no incluidos). Se recomienda tornillos troncocónicos de 4mm.

Monte el módulo sensor con dos tornillos a lo largo de la línea del centro del área de parqueo, a la misma altura del parachoques del vehículo con el cual va a usar el módulo.

Use tornillo para montar la pantalla sobre el módulo sensor desde donde pueda ser divisada fácilmente por el conductor del vehículo entrante.

FUNCIONAMIENTOEl Asistente de Estacionamiento debería estar instalado debidamente y listo para funcionar. Sin embargo, se recomienda verificar que ambos módulos estén bien montados y funcionando correctamente.

PRUEBATire del vehículo lentamente en aparcamiento hasta que la unidad de exhibición demuestre una luz verde (detección del vehículo), después una luz ámbar (seguimiento del vehículo), y entonces una luz roja cuando se alcanza la zona de detención.

ADVERTENCIA DE BATERÍA DESCARGADACuando las baterías del Asistente de Estacionamiento necesitan reemplazo, la pantalla del módulo exhibe una luz ROJA después de cada intento de estacionamiento. Por favor reemplace las baterías puntualmente según las instrucciones citadas arriba. Las baterías de este aparato tienen un año de duración bajo condiciones normales.

NOTA:Las distancias de parada del Asistente de Estaciona-miento podrían variar debido a temperatura, condiciones ambientales o tipo de vehículo, y por eso, es importante verificar su tiempo de reacción y permitir suficiente distancia de parada. Siempre verifique la distancia de parada cuando se trata de un vehículo nuevo y ajuste el sitio de montaje y la distancia de parada si es necesario.

El módulo sensor ha sido diseñado para estacionar despacio. En el caso de entradas rápidas, la pantalla podría fallar al detectar la distancia. El Asistente de Estacionamiento no se recomienda en condiciones húmedas.
