With the advanced tools and technology available, clinical audiologists and speech-language pathologists are required to have a more in-depth knowledge of genetic and syndromic anomalies, ototoxic and otoprotective agents, as well as (re) habilitative strategies. Our speakers will give a unique perspective on the medical and developmental impact on speech perception and assessment. Amplification strategies to facilitate effective integration of speech perception into the rehabilitation process will be addressed. In addition, unique case histories will be presented. Throughout, the influence of perception from the lips to the brain will be infused into the discussion. From the baby’s first coo, to school and adulthood, speech

perception can be influenced by medical conditions and

treatments, general development, and use of amplification.

With the advanced tools and technology available, clinical

audiologists and speech-language pathologists are required to

Cancellations: It is the goal of Rady Children's Hospital - San Diego to not cancel scheduled education courses; however, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule
