Whether this is your first or fiftiethvisit to Yankton you can always findsomething new. This year it’s therecent openings of the DiscoveryBridge and National Field ArcheryAssociation (NFAA) and the EastonSports Development Center forExcellence in Archery. The DiscoveryBridge spans across our own nationalpark known as the Missouri NationalRecreational River. The river affordsmany opportunities for enjoymentincluding fishing, kayaking, inter tubefloats, boating and American BaldEagle watching just to name a few.
The NFAA relocated their nationaloffices to Yankton in 2008. We areproud to have the NFAA and the EastonSports Development Center forExcellence in Archery, as part of theYankton family and welcome archersfrom all over the world as Yankton willhost the 2009 World Championships andFirst Dakota National Bank WorldArchery Classic.
Just a stone’s throw from the DiscoveryBridge is the historic Meridian Bridge. Thisdouble-decker structure is the perfect back-drop for that family photo or picnic inRiverside Park. This is where more than 150
amateur and college baseball and softballgames are played each year. Riverside Park isalso home to the best fourth of July fireworksshow around and our very own Riverboat Daysand Summer Arts Festival held each August.
