First, I would like to thank each and every member of the Choice Team for your hard work, commitment and dedication to Choice and our customers over the past seven years. We have built a first class, leading customer service company in a relatively short period and the drive behind this is YOU - the people that make us the Choice family. You should be very proud of this accomplishment. Congratulations to all, and again, I thank you. I enjoy working with a team of fantastic professional people. As we turn to a new chapter in the growth of Choice Environmental, I cannot hide my excitement and enthusiasm for our recently completed merger with Swisher Hygiene, Inc. This merger will bring abundant opportunity to our company and its employees. We have joined forces with a company that provides essential hygiene services to thousands of customers throughout the United States and abroad. Now Swisher will be adding waste and recycling services that can be co-marketed to their customer base. Swisher is led by Steve Bernard, CEO, and Wayne Huizenga, Chairman of the Board. These two legendary entrepreneurs bring extensive experience and resources to our company. With the infrastructure already put in place by Swisher, we foresee significant opportunities for organic and acquisition-related growth in our future. Additionally, there are numerous opportunities for our team members as we continue to grow throughout Florida and beyond. So, let’s get ready to meet head on the challenges of growing the best customer service oriented waste company and deliver these services to more and more customers everyday. Thank you for a great seven years, and I look forward to working with all of you to grow Choice for many years to come. Choice News Briefs

Choice recently secured a long-term contract for trash removal and recycling for parts of Lee County, Florida. Immediately after securing the contract, Choice Environ-mental initiated its CHOICE CRIME WATCH program and partnered with the Lee County Sheriff’s Department and Sheriff Mike Scott. Using advanced technology in communica-tions and GPS tracking, the Sheriff’s office and Choice crews are linked together for an enhanced crime-watching program. Choice will offer this model to other cities in Florida.

The program serves to encourage more eyes and ears of individuals throughout every neighborhood in Lehigh Acres, Florida, with an emphasis on reporting suspicious activity to law enforcement.

Sheriff, Mike Scott, commented on the program, “We are excited to partner with Choice Environmental in the CHOICE CRIME WATCH program, as we both work together to keep our neighborhoods clean.”

Garth Fowles, Choice’s Regional Manager of Southwest and Central Florida, accepted a plaque from Sheriff Mike Scott during a company meeting in late February 2011 in Lehigh Acres, Florida. Mr. Fowles is enthusiastic about joining forces with the Lee County Sheriff’s Department. He stated, “The Sheriff and I have been discussing the benefits of imple-menting the CHOICE CRIME WATCH program for several months. We are committed to assisting public safety during the course of our primary duties.”

Safety Corner With Steve MorettiA huge congratulations goes out to Miami Recycling . As of April 4, 2011, they had 718 accident free days. A special thanks to site manager, Chris Marino, his staff, and GM Raymond DiGiola. This is a perfect example of what can be achieved when everybody works together. BRAVO to all.

On another note, summer is fast approaching us and so is the heat. Hydration is a very important part of safety. Drink plenty of water during the day. Soda and energy drinks dehydrate you - water is much better for you. If necessary take small breaks. Remember...Lets Not Meet By Accident. Think Smart. Think Safety.

Custom High-Visibility Rain Coats, Safety Shirts, Vests and Gloves will be distrib-uted to all locations this spring.

Choice Environmental Services, Inc. was founded in 2004 by Glen Miller and Neal Rodrigue, with their first two acquisitions of Choice Waste Systems, Inc. and United Environmental Services, Inc. Glen and Neal already had a working relationship at Eastern Environmental Services, where they were senior executives. At Eastern they played key roles in growing the company to become the fifth largest waste services company in the United States. Glen and Neal recognized strong growth opportunities in Florida, and decided to implement a new growth strategy.

They immediately began to lay the foundation for a strong growth company that specialized in superior customer service, community involvement and environmentally friendly initiatives in the communities serviced. Choice has completed over 14 acquisitions in six years and has grown to its current market leading position as it expands throughout Florida.

Choice recruited highly experienced and motivated management, encouraging them to operate in a decentralized environment putting customer service of paramount importance. The company now has nine managers that have owned their own waste service company in the past and are integral parts of the management team.
