TheBoardisrequestingallresidentstocontactHoustonCityCouncilMember,MikeSullivan,toexpressyouropiniononthewideningofClearLakeCityBoulevardtofourlanesthroughPineBrookandtheresidentialdevelopmentofthe411acresatCLCandElDoradoBoulevards. TheBoard,afterreadingintheCitizenCouncilMemberSullivanwassupportingwideningCLCBlvdtofourlanesthroughPineBrook,notifiedtheCouncilmanthatPineBrook’sresidentshadhistoricallyopposedthewideningoftheBlvdduetosafetyconcernsforourchildrenandresidents.WerequestedhenotactivelypromotethewideningprojectandinformedhimthattheCityasrecentlyastwoyearsagohadadvisedustherewerenoplanstowidentheBlvd.Hisresponsewaslessthanfavorable. Regardingthe411-acredevelopmentattheintersectionofCLCBlvd&ElDorado,FidelisRealityPartners,thedevelopers,arehopefulanagreementcanbereachedwithExxonMobiltoresolvetheirlawsuit.ThethreeClearLakecommunitiesmostaffectedbythedevelopmenthavebeenworkingwiththedeveloperstoachieveabalancedandestheticallypleasingresidentialandcommercialdevelopment. AnagreementhasbeenreachedwiththeCLCWaterAuthorityforfloodcontrolanddevelopment.ApreliminaryagreementhasbeenreachedwiththeCityofHoustontorelocatethefirestationsitefromtheWestcorneroftheintersectionofElDoradoExtendedtotheEastcorner.ThisisasimplelandswaprequestedbyPineBrooktoallowthelandadjacenttoourcommunitytobedevelopedasresidentialproperty.ThecommercialcenterwouldthenbedevelopedontheWestsideoftheextendedstreet;however,CouncilMemberSullivanhas expressedopposition to the landexchangewithoutstatingareason. Board of DirectorsPOOL UPDATE:Thepoolwillbegettinganewlook.TheBoardapprovedabidbySweetwaterPoolstoresurfacethepoolandinstallanewfiberglassdivingboard.NewceilingfanswillbeinstalledinthePavilionandanewemergency911telephonewillbeinstallednearthefrontentry.TheOrcas’areplanning to install newdiveplatforms fortheirswimmeets,aswell.
DEAD TREES REMOVED:BayAreaTreeshas removed more than70 trees damagedbyHurricaneIkeorkilledbyPineBeatles.Residents are encouraged to notify CIAServicesifadditionaldeadtreesareobservedinthecommunity.
TRUGREEN PERFORMANCE: Due toperformanceissuesandconcernsregardingour grounds maintenance company, CIAServiceswillbeusingachecklisttoidentifyanydeficienciesincontractexecution.
TENNIS COURT WINDSCREENS: NewTennisCourtswindscreenshavebeenpurchasedandwillbeinstalledASAP.
