Departing 12 September, 2019, we are travelling to China travelling from Shanghai to Beijing to experience the history and majesty of this spectacular country.
Spend 10 nights in deluxe accommodation with your own private single room and most meals included.
We arrive and stay in Shanghai for 2 nights exploring this amazing city. We will visit the Bund, a promenade along the Huangpu River. Then to the elegant Yu Garden and visit a Silk Spinning Mill. Before moving on, we will visit Shanghai Xintiandi, featuring the city’s unique “Shikumen” houses.
Next we fly to Guilin for 2 nights. Enjoy a highlight of our trip, a spectacular cruise down Li River. Take in the breathtaking scenery from quaint villages to water buffalo grazing in the water and visit the
dazzling limestone caves – Reef Flute Cave.
Moving onto Xian for 2 nights we’ll explore the greatest archaeological discovery, The Terracotta Army or the “Terracotta Warriors and Horses”. Tonight enjoy a Xi’an dumpling dinner followed by the magnificent
Tang Dynasty Show. We visit the ancient City Wall before departing from Xian.
Our tour will conclude in Beijing for 4 nights taking in the biggest public square Tian’anmen Square. We’ll indulge in the famous Beijing Duck banquet one evening before exploring one of the ten wonders of the world, the Great Wall of China. And our tour wouldn’t be complete without visiting the beautiful
Pandas at the Beijing Zoo.
