3. Stitch the 2" X 13" print piece of fabric to the top of the solid piece of fabric with a 1/4" seam (repeat to complete the remaining three). Tack down the ribbon on the front of the print fabric 3/4" from the top (repeat to complete the remaining seven ribbons). The ribbon should lay to the inside of the fabric.

4. Layer the side pieces as follows: top piece right side up, back piece of fabric right side down, quilt batting, Stitch the sides and top with a 1/4" seam leaving the bottom open.

5. Turn right sides out. Press.

6. Layer the side and bottom pieces as follows: bottom piece right side up, lay the four solid color sides down with raw edges matching, bottom piece of fabric right side down and quilt batting. Stitch the sides with a 1/4" seam leaving an opening to turn right sides out.

7. Turn right sides out. Stitch opening. Press. Tie bows on the corners.

Easter Basket

1. Cut print fabric: 2 pieces 13" X 13", cut 4 pieces 71/2" X 13", cut 4 pieces 2" X 13". Cut solid color fabric: 4 pieces 6" X 13". Cut quilt batting: 4 pieces 6" X 13", 1 piece 13" X 13". Cut ribbon: eight 6" pieces.

2. Mark center of design(s) on one (or more if desired) 6" X 13" solid color piece of fabric. Hoop with two pieces cut-away stabilizer. Embroider design(s). Remove from hoop. Cut bobbin thread on fringe areas. Pull fringe to front of fabric (see fringe tutorial). Trim stabilizer.

Jewelry StorageWall Hanging

For this project, you will need:• 3/4 yd Color 1-floral• 7/8 yd Color 2-yellow• 1/4 yd Color 3-pink• 1/4 yd Medium weight plastic• 23/4 yds ribbon• 251/2" X 21" Low loft quilt batting• Cut-away stabilizer• Disappearing ink fabric pen• Design CH2620

Use a 1/4" seam allowance on all seams.

1. Cut color 1-floral fabric: 1 piece 2" X 21" for the top, and 1 piece 16" X 21" for the pockets. Cut color 2-yellow fabric, 1 piece 251/2 " X 21" for the back, 2" X 95" for the binding around the finished jewelry wall hanging and 2 pieces 2" X 21" to bind

the top of the plastic. Cut color 3-pink, 1 piece 8" X 21" to embroider, and 2 pieces 2" X 21" to bind the top of the plastic. Cut 4 pieces of plastic 3" X 21". Cut 4 pieces of the ribbon 21" for the bottom of the plastic and 3 pieces 3" for the loops on the top.

2. Mark the center of the design on color 3-pink 8" X 21". Hoop the fabric with two pieces of cut-away. Embroider design. Remove from hoop. Cut bobbin thread on fringe areas. Pull fringe to front of fabric (see fringe tutorial). Trim stabilizer.

3. Stitch the 2" X 21" floral strip of fabric to top of pink embroidered fabric with right sides together. Stitch the 16" X 21" floral fabric to the bottom of the pink embroidered fabric.

4. Fold and press the 2" X 21" pieces of colors 2 and 3 to form binding. Bind the tops of the 4 plastic strips with the binding.

5. Line up the plastic strips equally on the larger floral fabric and stitch the size pockets you want for your jewelry. Stitch a strip of ribbon to the bottom of the plastic strips. Only sew the top edge of the ribbon, the bottom edge will be sewn later.

6. Fold the 3" ribbon pieces in half, space evenly across the top on the jewelry holder with raw edges matching.

7. Fold and press color 3 (yellow) 2" X 95" piece of fabric to form binding.

8. Layer the back piece (yellow) of fabric wrong side up, the batting and the pocket piece right side up. Sew the bottom edge of the ribbon, this will quilt the 3 layers together.

9. Bind the outside of the three layers with the 2" X 95" piece of color 3. Bar tack the three ribbon tabs up.

Kitty Treat BagFor this project, you will need:

• Print fabric 17" X 12"• Fabric for ribbon casing 17" X 11/2"• 24" ribbon• Cut-away stabilizer-17" X 12"• Disappearing ink fabric pen• Design CH2629-add lettering if desired

1. Fold fabric in half the long way with wrong sides together. Mark the casing line 5" from the top. Mark center of design in this square area.

2. Hoop the fabric and stabilizer. Embroider design.

Remove from hoop. Do not trim stabilizer. It will add stability to the finished project. Cut bobbin thread on fringe areas. Pull fringe to front of fabric (see fringe tutorial).

3. Fold fabric in half with embroidered design to the inside. Stitch side and bottom with 1/2" seam. Turn right sides out.

4. Fold the edges of the 17" X 11/2" piece of fabric in 1/4" on each side to the wrong side. It will be 1" wide. Fold the end 1/2" to the wrong side. Fold the top of the bag 21/2" to the inside. Lay the casing piece 21/4" from the top with the opening at the seam. Stitch close to the edges.

5. Run ribbon through the casing, tie the ends of the ribbon together with a knot.

Place Mat, Napkin,and Napkin Ring

For this project, you will need:• 1/2 yd print fabric • 1/2 yd solid fabric• 2" hook and loop tape for each napkin ring• Medium weight interfacing for place mat• Tear-away stabilizer for the place mat and napkin• Cut-away stabilizer for the napkin ring• Disappearing ink fabric pen• Designs CH2622, 2622NAP, 2622RNG

Use 1/4" seam allowance on all seams.

1. Cut print fabric: 1 piece 18" X 18" for the napkin, 1 piece 141/2 " X 141/2" for place mat. Cut solid fabric: 1 piece 51/2" X 141/2 " for the side of the place mat, 1 piece 51/2" X 7" for place mat pocket, 1 piece 19" X 141/2" for back of place mat and 2 pieces 6" X 3" for the napkin ring. Cut 1 piece 19" X 141/2" of medium weight interfacing.

2. Hoop the 51/2" X 7" piece of fabric with 2 pieces tear-away. Embroider design CH2622. Remove from hoop. Cut bobbin thread on fringe areas. Pull fringe to front of fabric (see fringe tutorial). Remove tear-away.

3. Hoop the 6" X 3" piece of fabric with 2 pieces cut- away. Embroider design 2622RNG. Remove from hoop. Cut bobbin thread on fringe areas. Pull fringe to front of fabric (see fringe tutorial). Do not trim cut-away.

4. Hoop 18" X 18" with 2 pieces tear-away. Embroider design 2622NAP. Remove from hoop. Cut bobbin thread on fringe areas. Pull fringe to front of fabric (see fringe tutorial). Remove tear-away.

5. Edge roll stitch the outside of the 18" X 18" napkin.

6. Fold the top edge of the pocket piece over 1/2" twice and stitch.

7. Stitch the sides and bottom of the pocket to the lower edge of the side piece.

8. Stitch this side piece and the 141/2" X 141/2" print piece right sides together.

9. Layer the place mat as follows: top piece right side up, back piece of fabric right side down, medium weight interfacing, stitch the outside edge leaving an opening to turn right sides out.

10. Turn right sides out. Stitch opening closed. Top stitch the outside of the place mat.

11. Stitch the 6" X 3" back piece of fabric and the embroidered 6" X 3" piece right sides together, leave an opening to turn right sides out.

12. Clip corners, turn right sides out, and press.

13. Sew hook & loop tape to the ends to make into a napkin ring.

ScarfFor this project, you will need:

• 1/4 yd, 60" wide color 1 - we used fleece• 6", 60" wide color 2 - we used fleece• Water soluble topping• Tear-away stabilizer• Disappearing ink fabric pen• Design CH2621

1. Mark center of design on color 2 so the bottom of the design will be 4" above the bottom of the scarf.

2. Hoop fabric with two pieces of tear-away and 1 piece water soluble topping. Embroider design. Remove from hoop. Cut bobbin thread on fringe areas. Pull fringe to front of fabric (see fringe tutorial). Remove stabilizer and water soluble topping.

3. Stitch sides of scarf with right sides together. Turn right sides out. Stitch in the ditch with color 1 even amounts showing on both sides.

4. Cut fringe and tie.

Towel and Wash MittFor this project, you will need:

• 1 bath towel• 1 wash cloth • 8" of 1/2" elastic • Water soluble topping• Tear-away stabilizer• Disappearing ink fabric pen• Designs CH2632 and CH2625

Cut bobbin thread on fringe areas. Pull fringe to front of fabric (see fringe tutorial).

3. Remove tear-away and water soluble topping.

4. Fold the wash cloth in half with the front of the embroidered design to the inside, stitch the side with 1/4" seam. Fold the wash cloth with the seam lying over the center of the embroidered design. Stitch the bottom of the wash cloth with 1/4" seam. Turn the wash cloth right sides out.

5. Fold the top of the wash cloth to inside 2". Stitch 1" from the top of the wash cloth. Stitch 13/4" from the top of the wash cloth leaving an opening for the elastic. Insert elastic. Stitch ends of elastic. Stitch opening closed.

1. Mark center of design on towel. Hoop towel with two pieces of tear away stabilizer and 1 piece water soluble topping. Embroider design. Remove from hoop. Cut bobbin thread on fringe areas. Pull fringe to front of fabric (see fringe tutorial). Remove tear-away and water soluble topping.

2. Mark center of design on wash cloth so that the bottom of the design is 1" from the bottom of the wash cloth. Hoop wash cloth with two pieces of tear-away stabilizer and 1 piece water soluble topping. Embroider design. Remove from hoop.

Trick or Treat Bag

For this project, you will need:• 3/4 yard fabric for bag• 7" X 7" piece of fabric to embroidery on• 1 yd 1" webbing for handle• 1 yd accent to embellish embroidered fabric• Cut-away stabilizer• Design CH2627

3. With right sides together, stitch one side of bag. With right sides together, stitch the 7" strip across the top of bag. With right sides together, stitch side and bottom of bag.

4. Fold the 7" strip in half with wrong sides together and press. Top stitch into place.

5. Cut the webbing in half (18") for handles. Fold the ends of the webbing over 1/4" and lay them on the outside 41/2" from the side seams. Stitch close to the edges and bottom of the webbing.

6. Stitch the embroidered piece to the front of the bag. Stitch the embellishment around the edge of the embroidered fabric.

Use 1/2 inch seams

1. Mark the center on the 7" X 7" piece of fabric. Hoop the fabric with two pieces of cut-away. Embroider design. Remove from hoop. Cut bobbin thread on fringe areas. Pull fringe to front of fabric (see fringe tutorial). Trim stabilizer.

2. For the bag, cut fabric as follows: 1/2 yard for the bag and 7" X 34" for the top of the bag.

2 pieces 2" X 101/2" for the top and bottom, and one 101/2" X 101/2" for the back.

2. Mark the center on the 6" X 6" piece. Hoop the fabric with two pieces of cut-away. Embroider design. Remove from hoop. Cut bobbin thread on fringe areas. Pull fringe to front of fabric (see fringe tutorial). Trim stabilizer.

3. See chart below for assembly. Assemble with 1/4" seam.

4. Add accents if desired.

5. Layer the wall hanging as follows: top piece right side up, back piece of fabric right side down, quilt batting, stitch the outside edge using a 1/4" seam leaving an opening to turn right sides out.

6. Turn right sides out. Stitch opening closed. Press.

7. Stitch in the ditch.

8. Stitch the metal chain to the top of the wall hanging. (We made the small bandana tied to the ribbon from a scrap.)

1. Cut black fabric: 1 piece 6" X 6" for the center, and 4 pieces 2" X 2" for the corners. Cut swirl print fabric: 2 pieces 2" X 6" for the sides. Cut checkered fabric: 2 pieces 2" X 6" for the top and bottom. Cut bandana fabric: 2 pieces 2" X 71/2" for the sides,

1. Cut fabric: 1 piece white 6" X 6" for the center, 4 pieces black 2" X 6", 4 pieces patterned 2" X 2", 1 piece pink 81/2" X 81/2", and 1 piece quilt batting 81/2" X 81/2".

2. Mark the center on the 6" X 6" piece. Hoop the fabric with two pieces of cut-away. Embroider

design. Remove from hoop. Cut bobbin thread on fringe areas. Pull fringe to front of fabric (see fringe tutorial). Trim Stabilizer.
