Friendship Flyer Wickham Park Senior Center
“There are no strangers here, only friends you have yet to meet!”
Mission Statement
Our Mission is to provide a congenial and happy environment for seniors to enjoy activities, meet new friends, and attend
educational programs. Furthermore, to provide a resource for obtaining assistance and guidance in times of need.

2017
In the last note of the year; I want to let you know that Barry is working hard to recover from his illness. It has been an exciting year accomplishing improvements to our building and also our bingo and bridge equipment. We had a very successful November dinner and provided an appreciation breakfast for our park employees. Manager, Jessica and Foreman, Henry are always here at a moment's notice to help us. By the time this is published; our election of officers and directors will have been determined. These fourteen people are the life-line of our center, and keeping it running on all cylinders. I hope in future years we can foster a greater interest in all our members to run for positions and vote. I closing I wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy Holidays . Jim

TaiChi/Qigong Classes
Led by Laura Parsons
Meets on Wednesdays at 8:30am and
Fridays at 9:00am.
The classes are beneficial to all ages and stages but especially benefit senior citizens and those with health issues. The forms we use address a wide variety of body systems while focusing on breathing, balance and wellbeing. This class provides a low impact exercise experience that definitely discourages the "no pain--no gain" attitude.
Come join us for sharing good, healthy ener-chi! Love and Peace, Laura

Congratulations
Harold Phillips , one of our Duplicate Bridge players, was recently recognized for achieving Diamond Life Master status in the American Contract Bridge League.
This requires receiving 5,000 masterpoints in local, state and national tournaments. He previously served on the Board of Directors at WPSC, but is probably best known by our players for developing the bidding convention known as "Screwdriver".
