Library ® Edgar Evans Cayce Celebrating over 75 Years of Service at the Association for Research and Enlightenment Phase 1 that we outlined in the June 2010 newsletter has been completed. Now in Phase 2, we continue to work with several ongoing projects that will expand the already launched landing page we shared with you in October of 2010. If you missed our update, you can see the new landing page at www.edgarcayce.org/library. At ninety-three years old, Edgar Evans Cayce is still in good health and full of energy. I had the pleasure of talking with him at his home on March 28, 2011. LH: I want to know what inspired you to write your book, Mysteries of Atlantis Revisited? EEC: I think it was the readings on Atlantis that Dad gave. About fifty percent of his readings were physical readings and then he had others that were life readings. Another twenty percent were every- thing under the sun. The life readings didn’t come along until someone asked him a question about his or her past lives. LH: I just showed you this article that was published on March 14, 2011, about finding Atlantis in Cadiz, Spain, and I wanted to get your opinion on that. EEC: I think it may have been a colony or part of Atlantis. But Atlantis itself wasn’t a city; it was a continent. It was, according to Cayce, halfway between North America and Europe. It had a series of destructions: 50,000 B.C., around 29,000 B.C., then the last island went down around 10,000 B.C. because it had been broken up into islands. It wasn’t just a city but a whole nation. Some of the inhabitants went into North and South America and some of them went to Africa. We raised $30,000 thanks toYOU! We imagined this would probably take a few years to raise our goal, but thanks to your overwhelming support, we did it in 2010! Continued on the next page . . . Indiana Jaffin and the Search for Atlantis Dr. Stanley Jaffin, called Indiana Jaffin by his wife, Ann, was an Atlantis adventurer. The impact of his work is important because the quest to find Atlantis still continues today. Stan was passionate about searching for remnants of this lost civilization in the Bimini Islands as described in the Edgar Cayce readings. He was part of more than a dozen expeditions led by Dr. Joan Hanley in the nineties, which often included fellow researchers Ann Jaffin, Dr. Doug Richards, Bill Donato, John Holden, Donnie Fields, and many other friends. Stan was a strong man intent on this pursuit. Joan Hanley recalls that “Stan had the focus of a true scientist.” He and others spotted a group of animal-shaped mounds in the mangrove swamps of east Bimini while flying very low in a small plane. The most dramatic mound is about 500 feet long and in the shape of a lemon shark. Continued on page 3 . . . Dr. Stanley Jaffin
