Micro-loan project is about a LOAN and not a DONATION

Started in 2002 with $300 donation for three women

FONNJ has Contributed over $9000 towards Micro-loan project

$13,000 grant from Rotary International to support additional 125 ladies each year.

this program since 2003 to needy students in Nepal with their education

• Almost all students have low paying jobs during the day as domestic helpers, street vendors, newspaper hawkers, laborers, etc

• These students are financially stressed and would be unable to continue their education if financial assistances are not available

• Every year 10 students are provided US $50 each to support their education – fees, uniforms, and other education supplies

3. Scholarship Program in Rautahat District

Financial Support for Disabled Primary School Students Financial assistance to the disabled students

throughout the Rautahat District

$500 per year is contributed

50 to 100 students at a primary school level are selected by committee

The program is administered by Rautahat Development Trust (RDT), a non –profit organization in Nepal

Rotary YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM, Rotary YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM, PATANPATANTo prepare diverse individuals for leadership through education and workshops

A half year long program to develop civic leadership through education and exploration of issues affecting Patan’s community

Community leaders from all aspects of Patan district will present various topics to create a network of young community leaders to guide the future of the community.

Ikhalakhu, Patan

This project supports healthcare needs of the community in Ikhalakhu, Patan via free health clinic and free medicine for people who cannot afford to visit a doctor

The donation will be used to purchase medicine, first-aid kits and other medical items

"Panche Baja" was generously donated, a decade ago, by Monk Krishna Man Manandhar as a gift from Nepal to The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City On June 17th 2003, amidst a function, the instruments were permanently put on display for all to enjoy
