SDear Friends,This was an amazing year for the Harvard Squash program. The women’s team won the Howe Cup and Amanda Sobhy ‘15 won the intercollegiate singles championship for the fourth consecutive time as well as the prestigious Betty Richey award and the Radcliffe Prize as Harvard’s top graduating female athlete. The men’s team won the Ivy Championship and placed third in the team nationals. Little publicized but equally important was that Mike Way was awarded the 2015 Ivy League Coach of the Year. Please join us in a nod to our coaching staff - Luke, Hameed and Beth. It’s truly a team effort! In addition to these accolades, support for the program has never been stronger. Thanks to your help, we have raised $273,000 and these funds, used in their entirety, have had direct and meaningful impact on our program. The scoreboards and cameras have been so valuable in supporting a first rate viewing experience both near and far. The team training trip set up our athletes for top performances throughout January and February. There are many other ways the coaches utilize Friends funds and the teams are more competitive, healthier and stronger with your support. We especially want to thank those donors who have joined our Friends group this year for the first time. Your support is very much appreciated at every level. Participation remains a critical priority for us and we thank those people who have remembered the program for the first time or after several years.Harvard Squash will come together on October 24 at the Murr Center to celebrate the Harvard Squash coaches through the decades. An afternoon hit around will be followed by an evening of cocktails and dinner and many teammates. For additional information and to register for the event please click here. Please mark your calendars for this exciting reunion.2015-2016 holds tremendous promise once again for our program. We look forward to your continued support of all aspects of Harvard squash! Thank you so very much!

Dear Alumni, Friends and Family,What a year! We had a very challenging season during which we battled through many injuries and tough losses. But in the end, our women’s team won the National Championship and our men took the Ivy title and finished third in the nation. Additionally, Amanda Sobhy ’15 became the first woman to stay unbeaten in college squash (her record was 62-0!) and won the Individual Championship for the fourth time.Every four years, our teams organize an international training trip. This year, both of our teams traveled to the Cayman Islands in January where we were hosted by former top 10 player, Mark Chaloner. The trip was a success and served both teams well preparing them for the second half of the season. As always, these kinds of experiences would not be possible without the support of all of you. This year, we want to particluarly thank one of our anonymous donors who paid for our entire trip! In addition, our program has received an unprecedented amount of donations this year. I cannot thank you enough for your support.Looking ahead, we’re excited about the upcoming season. We’re losing five players on the women’s side but are excited to welcome a strong freshmen class in the fall. The men’s team graduated two strong senior co-captains but will gain a lot of depth with three new members. We will introduce all of the freshmen to you in the next couple of months.I hope you’ve enjoyed the summer and will join us at matches and alumni events in the coming season. We’re particularly excited about the Alumni Event on October 24th. It will be a great evening highlighting the long and successful history of Harvard Squash – can’t wait to see many of you there.

SAD DISCRETIONARY ENDOWMENT FUNDSThanks to contributions from the donors listed below, these AD Discretionary Endowment Funds collectively generate income to benefit Harvard Squash each year. AD Discretionary Endowment Funds are unrestricted gifts designed to allow for long-term flexibility. Income from these funds is incremental to the department’s normal budget and provides crucial support for personnel, recruiting, out-of-region travel, technology, facility enhancements and other programmatic needs that fall outside the scope of the Friends group annual budgets. These endowment funds require a minimum contribution of $100,000. For more information on establishing an ADDF, please contact Jennifer Downing at [email protected] or 617-496-4317.
