What is HARPER PERFORMANCE?

Tim Harper founded HARPER PERFORMANCE in 2016 having spent almost a

decade working in elite sport with some of the leading organisations, clubs and

athletes on the planet. Tim became frustrated with the lack of performance-

support available to vast swaths of talented athletes, both in the UK and abroad

and decided to do just a little something to change it.

Tim rewrote his mission statement to make better use of his skills, of his

experience and of his professional-training and set about working with people

with all the talent and all the ‘GRIT’, but none of the ‘performance-support’ that

they needed to achieve their dreams in sport.

Our ongoing partnership with the pioneering rugby development

initiative; the Die Hard Rugby Academy in Zambia is a unique and

hugely exciting project for Harper Performance.

Utilising a combination of in-person and remote-based consultancy,

we are to developing and improving the performance-support

provisions available to rugby players at both the grassroots and elite

level of the sport in Zambia.

So far, we have developed a comprehensive athlete development

curriculum and pathway, which has been supported by bespoke,

relevant and accessible educational resources,

The Brunel University Tennis Club is a key client of HP Elite as we

strive to deliver the required performance-support systems to assist

the club realise its potential and ambitions to become one of the

leading university tennis clubs in the country.

Working in tandem with the club's leadership group and technical

coaches, HP Elite is developing the sports science, athletic

development and strength & conditioning provisions available to this

group of committed student-athletes.

Our signature event; the Performance Congress is a bi-monthly CPD

event catering to the full breadth of the multi-disciplinary support

team behind high performance sport and has been attended by

some of the leading lights in performance-support in elite sport.

"The Congress utilises expert speakers and impassioned debate and

discussion to develop, hone and challenge inter-disciplinary

understanding of a diverse range of topics that relate to athletic /

player development, performance, injury prevention and the

management and day-to-day running of effective high performance

programmes.
