Isn’t it great to see all the flowers blooming, the grass turning green, and the tree leaves green once again? Well, all except the pollen and the sneezing; but, let’s take the good with the bad, and rejoice. I just love this time of the year, except for having to mow the yard every week (but even that is a blessing). We can’t have one without the other. With Spring-time, our focus changes from the cold, dreary days of winter to the new life-giving freshness of Spring-time. As these changes occur, once again our focus also changes. It moves to the greatest event in human history, the Easter celebration of the DEATH, BURIAL, and the RESURRECTION of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. **What gives the widow courage as she stands beside a fresh grave? **What is the ultimate hope for the abused and neglected victims of this world? **Where do the thoughts of a young couple go to recover from the grief of losing a baby? **When a family receives tragic news of an unexpected death of a loved one? **What’s the answer to pain, mourning, heart-break, sudden calamities, and disturbing news? **How can we see past the martyrdom of some helpless hostage or devoted missionary? **How do we deal with all the hopeless, distressing, godless developments of our day? The only answer to these and many other questions is: The Hope of the Resurrection? We draw strength from this single truth almost every day of our lives. It becomes the glue that holds our shattered thoughts and lives together. We may not understand how God is going to ‘pull it off’, but we place our hope in Him. We trust and say, “Thank God, all this will change and someday, He will make it right! And when we are with Him, we shall be like Him.” More than a few times each year, I look into tear-filled eyes and remind the grieving hearts what the song says: “There’s a land that is fairer than day.” Where John promised in Revelation, “God shall wipe away all tears…there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying…no more pain…. There shall be no more curse… no more night…because the Lord God shall reign forever and ever” (21:4; 22:3,5). Thank God for the Cross and the Crucifixion of His blessed Son, Jesus Christ. Without the shedding of His blood, there would be no forgiveness of sin. But, don’t stop there: Without the Resurrection, there would be no hope of eternal life. Jesus said, “I AM the resurrection and the life. He that believes in me, though he may die, he shall live” (John 11:25 NKJV). But, is it for real? The apostle Paul put it this way in 1Corinthians 15: If bodily resurrection is only an empty dream, all our preaching is empty and our faith is worthless; the dead have perished, we are still under the condemnation of our sins, and ‘we are of all men, most miserable’ (Vss.14,16,18-19). Because Christ arose on Resurrection Sunday (Easter), we too shall rise! That’s worth getting excited about. That’s why we smile, sing, and celebrate His miraculous resurrection from the grave. Because He lives, I can face tomorrow in victory and in great hope. Come: Let’s celebrate! Join with us in praise, adoration, and worship of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ—the King of kings and Lord of lords. And remember: every Sunday is ‘Resurrection Sunday.’ Happy ‘Resurrection Sunday’ from all of the RBC Staff Note: For three Sundays – April 7 th , 14 th , and 24 th , I will be preaching on the ‘Days of Easter’! Please join with us as we approach this monumental day of our faith. It will be great days. Please, also notice the time changed time schedule for the activities on Easter Sunday. Education Ministry: “REACHING, TEACHING, and SERVING” to the glory of God!

2019: Intimacy with the Al-mighty!

Spring has sprung. With the more stable weather prayer-fully, will come more consistent and stable health and encourag-ing Bible Study attendance. It’s been a crazy winter with so many out sick, so many having surgery, and so many out of pock-et due to weather and other obstacles.

April and its improved weather will give us an oppor-tunity to get back into the groove. I pray you haven’t lost your groove. If you have, let’s create another one together in Bible Study and Worship. It’s been exciting to see folks join with us by profession of faith and baptism, and transfer of membership. Now, let’s get everyone plugged into God’s Word.

FYI—If you do not already know, we have a light & delicious meal, prepared by our great ladies, every Wednesday evening at 5:00. For a small donation, you can enjoy a meal mak-ing it easier for you to come for Bible Study, youth group, and Team-Kids. Come from work, home, or play and join with us in fellowship and the study of God’s Word.

Prayerfully consider God’s calling upon your life. We are continually in need of teachers in Children’s Sunday School, Children’s Church, the Nursery, and the Nursing Home Minis-tries. If you love people and God’s Word, please find a place of service in our RBC Ministry.

Please make note of the special Worship times on Easter Sunday, April 21st: **Easter Sunrise Service @ 7:30, **Breakfast @ 8:30. **Children’s Candy Hunt @ 9:30 (sharp), and the **2nd Easter morning Worship service @ 10:00 (Note: 10:00 instead of 11:00). No Sunday School or Evening Bible Study on Easter. Come. Invite family and friends to celebrate the Resurrection with us. We need you—and we all need God’s Word. God bless you.

March was a busy month, full of exciting school days. I want

to extend a BIG thank you to everyone that came out and

supported our fundraiser on the 2nd of March. It was a huge

success, and we could not have done it without your dona-

tions, help at the event and support at the auction.

We had a blast at the Pinewood Derby race and give our

thanks to Bro JR for putting that on for us. The cars were

creative and the kids had so much fun cheering each other on.

After a week off for Spring Break, the kids came back ready

to tackle the end of the 3rd quarter.

Enrollment for new students begins April 15. If you know of

any families interested in placing their child at RCA, please

let us know!

This month begins our 4th and last quarter of this school year.

Mark your calendar now and plan to join us for the Vocal

Recital on Thursday, April 25th. The rest of this year is going

to fly by, I’m sure!

Please check the dates below for what is coming up this

month.

April 12 – Scripture memorization due

April 18 – Early release @ 2 pm

How to Become A Christian (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23)

Repent (turn away) from your sin

A—ADMIT:

Admit to God that you are a sinner

(Acts 3:19; 1 John 1:9)

B—BELIEVE

Believe that Jesus is God’s only Son and

accept God’s forgiveness from sin

(Romans 5:8; Acts 4:12; John 3:16; John

14:6; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:11-13)

C—CONFESS

Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior

and Lord (Romans 10:9-10, and 13)

Is it time for you to become a

Christian? God’s Holy Spirit will help you know

if you are ready to become a Christian.

If it is time, pray a prayer such as the

one below:

Dear God: I know that I have sinned

and that my sin separates me from

You. I am sorry for my sins. I believe

that Jesus died on the cross for me so

that my sin can be forgiven. I believe

Jesus rose from the dead and is alive.

I ask Jesus, to come into my life and to

be my Savior and Lord. I will obey

You and live for You the rest of my

life.

Thank you, Amen!

If you have trusted Jesus to be your

Savior and Lord, you can be sure

that…

1) Your sin is forgiven.

2) You are a Christian.

3) You are a child of God.

4) God will always be with you.

5) You will go to heaven when you

die.

What can you do now?

Tell others that you are a Christian

and that Jesus is your Savior and

Lord.

Attend Church and Bible Study reg-

ularly.

Be baptized to show others that you

have become a Christian.

Read the Bible and pray to God every day.
