Donald Tai Loy Ho (August 13, 1930 – April 14, 2007) was an American traditional pop musician, singer and entertainer. He is best known for the song "Tiny Bubbles" from the album of the same name. At many shows, Ho showed members of the audience how to make a “shaka: sign with the thumb and little finger extended. He told them This means family in Hawaii or at least it did when we were growing up. Nowadays to the kids, it just means “hang loose.” Ho honored veterans in his audiences and asked Pearl Harbor veterans to stand. He invited troops that served in the Pacific Threater to come onto the stage while the hulu dancers were performing. Ho told those that served in the European Theater “you got your glory in the movies.” Ho made many cameo appearances, usually playing himself, on TV shows such as I Dream of Jeannie, Batman, The Brady Bunch, Charlie’s Angels, Fantasy Island, and McCloud. Ho was recognized by Maxim magazine as one of the “50 coolest guys ever.”
