Thank you church family for your partnership in the gos-pel! Thank you for supporting Bloomfield Baptist Church, its many ministries and its mission to make disciples of the nations.

As partners in the gospel, I want to ask each of you to pray for some needs we have in our church right now.

First, I want to ask you to pray for our giving. Our giving has been low over the summer and we are now about 10% behind in our church budget. Would you join me in praying that God would provide the resources to make up for this lapse in giving?

I also want to ask you to pray for our upcoming “Birthday Challenge” offering. In addition to the lapse in our Gen-eral Fund giving, we have also seen a similar decline in giving to our Building Fund. On Sunday, August 12th we will have our annual “Birthday Challenge” in which we ask each person in the BBC church family to give a dollar for every year the Lord has blessed them with. Would you pray that God would use this challenge to make a signifi-cant decrease in our Building Fund debt?

I trust that if we will all pray and ask for God’s provision that these needs will be met.

This building fundraiser idea was originated by one of our Sen-ior adults years ago who chal-lenged everyone to give a dollar for each year the Lord had blessed you with.

The proceeds from that first fundraiser was to be used to pay down the debt of our new addition at the time. This has become an annual fundraiser for reducing any existing building debt.

It is “prime time” to become a part of the Worship Celebration Choir! The choir rehearses each Wednesday @ 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. No auditions! Only a

love for praising the Lord in song!
