  • ts commonly felt that the skin Iacquires all that it requires for being flawless and glowing through only the external applications like creams, lotions, oils etc but the fact is that the skin is nourished much more efficiently via the gut route.

Therefore what we ingest is much more effective than the creams and the lotions. Hence we need to be very cautious of what we are eating if we demand a flawless glowing skin.

Some skin WIN FOODS:Fruits and vegetables - they provide the most necessary vitamins and minerals Fruits provide additional fibre adding the roughage needed to keep the bowl clean. A clean gut will keep your skin sparkling

quantity, this Indian butter boosts the skin shine. It is rich in vitamins E, A, D and is full of fatty acids. It can be called as a radiance booster for the skin

Cod liver oil - It is derived from liver of cod fish. It works well for itchy or a dry skin and helps restore the skins youthfulness

Water- Water is needed to flush out the toxins, keep the gut clean and for general hydration. Consuming about 2 litres of water should help achieve a bright and clear skin

esearchers have found that a diet Rthat includes regular intake of s p i c e s w i t h a n t i - a l l e rg y capabilities can reduce vulnerability to plant-induced allergies. These spices contain allergy-fighting chemicals that include flavonoids and phenols - for example, turmeric is rich in curcumin, a compound that is known to have anti-inflammatory properties. Turmeric can also help improve digestion and balance the flow of bile. Sage, red pepper, cumin and coriander are some other spices that are known to be allergy fighters. Sauting a combination of ground turmeric, cumin and coriander in ghee and using the mixture to season

vegetables is a way of incorporating some of these allergy fighting spices into your diet.Drinking cilantro juice cools and calms the entire system and promotes optimal health, comfort, temperature, and fluid balance in the skin. Simply place a handful of fresh cilantro in a blender with about cup water and blend. Strain the pulp and drink the juice. Things to avoid completely are Dry fruits, Fermented things like bread, dosas, and aapam as they are very hard to digest, also non veg foods like Fish, Chicken & Prawns also needs to be avoided.

ecently I bumped into an old Rfriend on the jogging track. She was already in her 10th lap while I panted on my first. We decided to catch up after she finished her quota of 16 (!)

Irrespective, it was great catching up after almost 30 years. The starting point was of course her health routine that had left me awe struck. Having got an eager audience she went on to describe at length about her diet routines and the importance of regular detoxification of the systems for great internals. There was no denying the benefits- She was glowing! Later we drifted to the good old junior college days. I was just getting eased into the conversation when she brought up a bitter argument she had had with a common friend- 30 years back!! She remembered every word of it! Good memory! Unfortunately she remembered every emotion related with the argument too! Our meeting turned somber after that as most of the time was spent in her lamenting over some words that were said years ago in the throes of the teens.

That entire glow on her face had muted as we came to the end of the evening. She looked exhausted and worn out. As we were about to depart I asked her what she did for mental and emotional

detoxification? She gave me incredulous looks and we parted on that.

A question that sprang up in my mind was, Why does health only mean physical well being to us? Those of us who are conscious, spend many hours and many more precious bucks on physical fitness and detoxification parlors and products. Sadly we miss the major source of our energy, fitness and youth- our mental well- being. Some people abuse their bodies with over eating and junk food, but many-many more of us abuse our minds by getting into ego tussles and one-up-man-ship.

And then we pour more energy into remembering every detail of everything that is negative around us. Forgiving seems like a small thing to indulge in and glorifying our pain while criminalizing the smallest mistakes of others seems to be the big deed. Even at the cost of everything that is important to us? Actually yes we sacrifice love, relationships, peace happiness and health to keep the vendetta alive. It seems perfect to feel victimized rather than feeling happy and peaceful!

What is really important? We need to keep revisiting this question. The solution to health and happiness is simple- Let Go. Try it. It works miracle. And if you find it difficult to do it on your own- Go talk your heart out to a counselor- a neutral, non- judgmental companion- Get Free- Get Health and Happiness.

eneric Drugs are the lower-Gcost version of a branded drug. I t is a chemical ly equivalent (having the same API - Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) drug, costing much less when compared to the brand-name drug.

Safe to use drugs? Yes. Generic and brand-name drugs must meet the exact same standards for effectiveness, safety and quality. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires generic drugs to have the same quality, strength, purity and stability as their brand-name

versions. Generic drugs are thoroughly tested to make sure their performance and ingredients meet the FDAs standards for equivalency.

Pr ice d i f fe rence? Somet imes a whopping 80%. Cant believe? But thats the fact.

Bottom Line on Generics? You can use generics with confidence. Although they may look different from their brand-name versions, generics are safe and effective. Any medication changes must be discussed with your physician.

    P r e j u d i c e s a r e n o t h i n g b u t prejudgments about anything before actually knowing the reality.

Recently was talking to my friend who is looking for a perfect groom. She rejected him as he was working in a BPO. Her family had a typical notion about BPO that people working there smoke, have flings and do drugs.Every work has its own pros and cons. I work in a publishing firm, but there are smokers here too. Smoking is an individual problem and not the field or place he or she works.

With actors as well, they are always judged as the people with attitude, ego, Alcohol and the very own as the chakko chand ki duniya. But they surely work hard for 14-16 hours at a stretch. They do lot of struggle and have to face lot of rejection in the initial stage. And i f he/she becomes successful, they are judged as doing some compromises to reach there.

I dont say such things dont happen but putting everyone in the same place is wrong. Compromises happen in every industry. Its just individual choices that they take such a step.

Professions like Teacher, Doctor, Engineer, CA, Bank job are considered

    a s r e s p e c t a b l e j o b . W h y ? ?These professions are no doubtfully good and earn a lot of respect but why tag others as bad.

I personally feel proud of the people who pursue their dreams and not think of the prejudices and stereotypes.

Just a say, Dream it, achieve it but dont lose yourself. Cheers!!!

eal Estate Regulatory Bill 2016 R(Regulation and Development), was passed in the Upper House, the Rajya Sabha, on 10 March, Lok Sabha passed it on 15 March. The Bill solicits to protect home buyers as well as encourage investments in the real estate industry.DID U KNOW?1. It had been found out from an economic survey of Ministry of finance that 25 per cent of the projects are d e l a y e d d u e t o p o o r p ro j e c t management, lack of capital and commitment from the developers and delay in seeking regulatory approvals

    2. Under the amendments made projects which have an area of 500 sq meters or eight flats have to be registered with the proposed regulatory authority instead of 1000 sq feet which was proposed earlier in bringing about larger number of projects under the

    regulators ambit

    3. Once the bill becomes an act, one sided agreements will be a thing of past

    4. Any delay in payment by the builders will attract the same penalty as what the buyer needs to cough up

    5. Builders who are notorious for changing project plans, midway, including the number of floors in a building or the layout of a flat, will now be barred from doing so, without the approval of 2/3rd of the buyers

    6. 70 per cent of the sales receipt will now be locked in an escrow account

    7. Developers cannot sell property on the basis of super area (flat area plus common area). They will have to clearly define the carpet area which includes spaces like kitchen and toilets

    8. For flouting any of rules laid out in the Regulator Act, the developer can be fined 10 per cent of the total project cost. And for repeated offense, the builder can also be jailed.

    The bill is designed to bring about i m m e n s e t r a n s p a r e n c y a n d accountability in the real estate sector.

  • What we overlook?1. We end up buying more than what we need2. Many times, we purchase too many items for the sake of more discounts3. Sometimes, we receive products of inferior quality or consumables close to their expiry date4. Timely delivery at all locations is not always possible

In order to make the best use of online shopping, we should see whether the product is necessary, desirable or avoidable. Shopping for necessary items online should be done in view of discounts and savings. This will not only prevent over spending but also avoid over stocking and wastage. Well-judged online purchasing will help us in managing our finances better.

n our extremely fast paced lives, we Inever seem to have enough time at hand. Office, children, house hold chores, social obligations and our daily routine make it difficult for us to find some spare time. In such a scenario, the option of buying everything from groceries to electronic items online seems like a blessing. But have we really thought about the pros and cons of online shopping?

Benefits:1. Very convenient way to shop 2. We dont have to go outside in sweltering heat of summers or heavy rainfall in monsoon time3. Most online retailers offer a replacement policy in case we dont like the product or it is defective or not up to our expectation4. Online gifting is a very practical solution for long distance dealings5. Scheduled delivery definitely makes online shopping very lucrative

ravel is the best form of leisure. TIt not only opens your mind to the world outside but also influences your outlook towards life. The joy of travelling to a place can only be harnessed if the soul of the place is touched and if one is able to leave their footprints in the hearts of the people there.

For the Love of ReadingIt is so not true, that we have only life to live; if we can read, we can live as many lives and as many kinds of life we wish to.

Book is one proof that humans are capable of creating magic with something so intangible.

Good Food is Real LoveDare to experiment with the local food wherever you travel.

    It could be anything from a Jhunka B h a k a r P i t l a ( A t r a d i t i o n a l Maharastrian Platter) to steamy hot momos or could be a full fledge regional specialty or simply could be a dessert.

Ditch the star rated over- comfortable restaurants and go for the authentic outlets that bring you closer to the culture of the place

Keep Calm and Take a ChillHow often have you soaked yourself in a remotest place of a village, looking at the peaceful waters, flipping pages of a Khaled Hosseini, breathing the wild air and munching onion bhajiyas.

  • n times when people are rushing Ifrom one place to another, one work to another in search of money, fame, success, etc.. There is no time for hobbies! Very few people, in their everyday routine find time for a hobby.

When there is already so much in hand, and no time is it really essential to have one? Yes, is the answer. Time or no time, one must know what they like and can pursue eventually in their free time. It is necessary for us to re-schedule our routine and spare sometime for an activity that we enjoy doing.

This helps us relax, rejuvenate and spend time with our own selves. This also helps in the later years of life when one is retired and does not know how to spend time during the day.

I see many people in their 60s who have

probably worked so hard in their late 20s-50s that they never cultivated or never felt the need to cultivate an interest apart from their work; find it difficult to keep themselves occupied through the day. Such individuals then end up nagging and remain irritated and later become difficult to handle. If they, given an activity to be engaged in, they remain calm.

A hobby could be as simple as coloring, making a puzzle, gardening or as extravagant has mountaineering. However, it is just an activity that interests one and keeps them engaged. Age is no bar for cultivating one or what you chose to do. So explore your skills and interests and engage in a hobby soon!
