Have fun at Prom 2015!!!

Congratulations to the choir students that performed last week at the State Choral Festival. The women’s choir received a superior( the highest) rating for solo/ensemble. The concert choir received all superior ratings on their stage performance and an excellent rating for sight-reading. The concert choir received an overall superior rating. We are proud of Mr. Hamm and the entire concert program.
Attention FBLA students who plan to attend the New Orleans trip on April 12 & 13. Please bring your money, field trip form and teacher approval form to Ms. Porter by Friday, March 27. It is imperative that you get all 3 in by this date.
The Baldwin County Community Alliance is sponsoring an underage drinking and prescription drug misuse prevention campaign, and we need your help. Submit your creative design for a billboard showing how middle and high school students gain access to alcohol and/or prescription drugs and the consequences of underage drinking and/or prescription drugs. If your idea wins, they will produce the billboard and display it on Highway 59!

The overall winner will be selected out of the entries from all Baldwin County high schools. See Mrs. Beverly in the front office for an entry form. All entry forms are due to Mrs. Beverly by Friday, April 17th.
The Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica will meet on Monday directly after school in Mrs. Whetstone’s room, room 903. Students should bring their $20 dues. All members must attend.
Well, it’s finally time for prom, and it’s going to be wonderful! We have some important reminders for you regarding prom, so please listen closely to these 4 points.
1. Tickets: If you have not purchased your ticket, you have until 2:00 today. If you have paid but not picked up, come and get it! After Mrs. Champion and Ms. Andersen leave school today, there will be no more tickets sold. Once you have your ticket, bring it with you to prom! You will be very frustrated when you don’t get in at the time you arrive, so just HAVE YOUR TICKET. If you bring a non-Foley date, be sure he or she presents photo ID at the door.
2. Attire: Prom is a formal occasion. Guests improperly dressed or barely dressed will not be admitted. See Mrs. Champion today if you think yours is questionable.
3. Seniors: If you plan to participate in callouts, you should verify your sign up outside Ms. Andersen’s door room 402 ASAP. No one will be added to the callout list tomorrow night. Call outs begin at 10:30, but we will line up 15 minutes prior.
Finally, all Foley prom attendees will receive a ballot to vote for King & Queen upon arrival. All ballots must be in the ballot box by 10:00. If you want to vote, be there prior to ten p.m.
If you are a peer helper with a current contract this year, you are invited to attend the Peer Helper field trip. For more details - especially for those who do not have Mrs. Champion or Mrs. Cody this semester - see either one of them to get the permission slip before leaving school today!! Please do not delay in getting these because we need a firm count.
The Lighthouse Youth Task Force participates each year in the Easter Eggstravaganza put on by The Lighthouse. It an Easter Egg Hunt/Children’s Activities located at Garrett Park in Robertsdale on Friday, April 3rd from 10-1. The Youth Task Force is looking for other club members to assist them with the event this year. You will receive service hours and the help would be greatly appreciated. If you are interested in volunteering, see Mrs. Beverly in the front office.
Bishop State will hold an Open House for their Technical Programs on Tuesday on the Southwest Campus from 9 am to 1 pm and 5 -7 pm. For more information, contact Daphne Stamps at 251-665-4124 or email [email protected].
Attention potential International Studies students:If you are interested in possibly participating in this class next year, please see Mrs. Goodwin in room 920 for more information. You can also email her at [email protected] if you would like more information.
Attention all AP Lit students:You need to bring in your money for the Shakespeare trip on April 28 ASAP. At the end of March, it will be open to other classes. The cost is $50.00 and can be taken to Mrs. Goodwin in room 920.
The Lighthouse Youth Task Force will meet on Thursday after school in the library. If you have not been trained for this year you will stay after the meeting for training.
