From the Principal’s Desk

Hello BT Families,

Thank you for another great week at Blessed Trinity! It was an exciting week to be a BT Brave! We had three 8th grade students: Megan Kuzmierz, Hunger Temple, and Brady Schwartz, earn scholarships to Trinity Catholic. Mr. Pereira, the President of TC, came to Mass to present the scholarships to them. We also welcomed our newest members of the National Junior Honor Society. These students are outstanding examples of: Scholarship, Character, Leadership, Service, and Citizenship. Congratulations to all of these hard working students!

As we look to the next few weeks, we are already busy thinking about next year. As we start to look at class lists, I want to remind you of the process for requesting teachers for your students. We do not accept requests for a specific teachers. So many times things change over the summer and someone moves away and/or we have to move teachers to a new grade. Instead, if you would like to make a request for your student, you may email me the qualities you are looking for in a teacher. For example, you could write that your student needs a firm, but loving teacher. Someone who will not let them get away with anything, but will also be there to give a quick hug. Those requests must be submitted to me via email by Monday, May 6th.

We have a lot of exciting events happening in the next few weeks – including our BT Spirit Week. We will conclude BT Spirit Week with Field Day as we did last year. This is a great day to come out and cheer on your favorite BT Brave! Here is more specific information about some upcoming events:

Wednesday, May 1st – May Crowning – 8:15 School Mass

May 6th – May 10th – BT Spirit Week – Donations of $5.00 accepted for students to dress out all week. All money goes to BT Nalweyo.

o Monday, May 6th – Tacky Tourist/Animal Day o Tuesday, May 7th – Country vs. Country Club Day o Wednesday, May 8th – Decade Day (Must be Mass appropriate clothing)

Music in our Schools Concert 1:00-2:00 PM o Thursday, May 9th – Character Day o Friday, May 10th – BT Spirit Day

Field Day on the Soccer Field May 6th – 10th is also our Staff Appreciation Week. We are planning a little surprise each day for the staff as a thank you for all the work they do. We are looking for sponsors for Breakfast and/or lunch one day during the week. If you or any of your businesses are interested in sponsoring, please let me know. Thank you for all you do to support our students and our school! You are the best!

Field Day

Our annual Blessed Trinity Field Day will be held on Friday, May 10th at the BT Soccer Field. We would love for you to come and watch your student(s) participate. The schedule is as follows:

8:45 – 9:45: 5th & 6th grades 10:00 – 11:00: 7th & 8th grades 11:45 – 12:45: 3rd & 4th grades 12:45 – 1:45: 1st & 2nd grades 1:45 – 2:45: Kindergarten

Parents, Please be sure to report your student’s absences to attendance@btschool.org and not the general BT mailbox. Thank You!

Walk-up Passes Reminder to Parents! Students may not be released to anyone from the dismissal areas without a pass. Walk-up passes are available from the school office. These passes must be issued at the time of pick up and cannot be issued early. Thank you for helping our students safe!

Blessed Trinity’s Got Talent Show Our 3rd annual Church Talent Show is Sunday, April 28th at 2:30pm. All acts and talents are invited to perform! Please pick up a registration form from either the church office, school front office, or Liz.

BT Cheerleading Tryouts

Students who will be in 5th-8th grade and are interested in trying out for cheerleading, tryouts will be held on the following dates: Wednesday, May 8th from 2:00 – 4:00 Thursday, May 9th from 3:00 – 5:00 Friday, May 10th from 3:00 – 5:30 (Official tryout day)

Join us for the BT EDGE Annual Spring Lock In. We have an event packed night planned to keep us moving all night long (well almostJ). The night’s events include “Edge Olympic” field games, challenges, dinner, snacks, movie, a lot of laughter and many friends.

Email us to save your spot, but you must still complete your registration by turning in $20 (checks made out to Blessed Trinity) (please be sure to indicate students name) no later than Sunday, April 21st to the church office. You must already be a registered EDGE member and have participated in at least one meeting this year to attend. Packing list and other details will be sent the week of the event. There are no permission forms needed, unless you have had a change in the medical or contact information. Please feel free to email with any questions.

Lock-in Planning

Lock-in Planning is underway and we are looking for a few people to assist with setting up and running the big outdoor “Edge Olympic” games during the afternoon and evening on Saturday the 27th. Please let us know if you can help (must be fingerprinted).

End of Year Trip Big News! The middle schoolers selected Sea World Orlando for our end of year trip. The trip is Sunday, May 5th, leaving at 7:15am and returning to BT at 6pm. More information and registration details will be emailed this Wednesday to those who qualify (75% attendance requirement). Due to generous donations, the cost is only $55. Payment and complete registration will be due by April 16th (admission and transportation included).

Angels In Arms

Preschool Teacher Asst. Needed Preschool Teacher Assistants Needed

Blessed Trinity Angels in Arms is hiring 2 part-time early learning teachers. The hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30am-1:30pm. Staff are required to have their 40-hour DCF training and First Aid & CPR training.

Some of the job duties include:

Implementing curriculum and activities developmentally appropriate for their class

Caring for the safety and well-being of young children

Communicating with teachers, parents, and caregivers
