"I have missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot. . . and

missed. And I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why. . . I succeed."

-- Michael Jordan

"Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them -- a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have the skill, and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill."

-- Muhammad Ali

FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE® Omaha Lodge #1

President Vice President Secretary Treasurer State Trustee John Francavilla Mark Howie Anna Colón Rich Gonzalez Mike Hoch

On behalf of the men and women of the Fraternal Order of Police Omaha Lodge #1 we are honored to be a sponsor of

the Boys and Girls Clubs Youth All-star Basketball Weekend.

Through the work and dedication of the Boys and Girls Club the future business, civic and community leaders are de-

veloped.

We feel that education, mentoring and teaching our youth self-worth and respect are vital in their development; which

translates into them becoming mentors to their peers and establishing respect for others.

Through athletics our youth learn teamwork, sportsmanship, respect and discipline that will help them develop into

strong leaders in our communities. These are valuable building blocks in life. A child that has these positive experi-

ence’s is bound to be a productive member of our community, one who will remember those who helped them through

life and will in turn become a mentor to others, ensuring the cycle of taking care of future will always be intact.

The Fraternal Order of Police Omaha Lodge #1 and its members believe strongly in those principles and lessons

learned; our body has been very active in our community and especially with our youth. We have not only sponsored

local youth organizations but have also provided athletic grants to local youth who otherwise would not have had the

opportunity to play in competitive youth athletic programs. We believe that when children are denied the opportuni-

ties to get involved in sports due to lack of finances they miss out on life skills they learn that help prepare them to lead

productive lives. The opportunity to provide sponsorships and grants is also funded through generous donations from

our local Omaha businesses. We could not provide so much without their continued support of the Fraternal Order of

Police and our community.

Congratulations to the athletes of the Youth All-Star Weekend and thank you Boys and Girls Club of Omaha for all

you do for our community.
