Game Talk:
Last Time Out
“Obviously it is a tough
opponent, but I think for us
in a very good way it is not
in the back of our mind in
a negative way. I think the
guys are ready to go and
ready to play. ”
— Head Coach David Brandt
“It’s been good playing
with the same players
I played with last year
and good to get back
out there again.”
— Defender Anthony Virgara
Game Notes:
Team Rosters:
Pittsburgh: Louisville:
· The Riverhounds (3-12-4) square off against Louisville City FC (12-3-6) for the second and final time this regular season. Meeting earlier this April, the Hounds held a 2-1 lead on the road amidst monsoon-like conditions before ceding a late equalizer in the 86th minute to a 10-man Louisville squad. The Hounds hold an all-time head-to-head record of 1-1-1 against Louisville.
· Louisville enters the match on a two-game losing streak after opening the season with only one loss in its first 19 played. Second in the Eastern Conference, the club holds the second-best goal differential in the USL at plus-17. On an individual note, forward Jon Chandler Hoffman is second in the league in goals scored with 14 and has tallied four in his last five matches played.

· The Hounds are coming off an offensive explosion in Wilmington, scoring a season-high four goals, on an also season-best three assists, in their first road win of the season. The goals tallied marked the first time since the 6-5 “Miracle on the Mon” victory on August 30, 2015 that Pittsburgh has scored four or more goals in a match. Pittsburgh will be in search of its first back-to-back wins since August 8 of last season.
· Two key components of the Hounds offensive attack appear to be getting on the right track as both Kevin Kerr and Corey Hertzog found their way onto the score sheet in last week’s win. Kerr tallied his second goal in three matches, while Hertzog broke a five-game goalless streak and added two assists – the first two-assist game by a Hound since both Mike Green and Lebo Moloto had two helpers against Toronto FC II on August 8, 2015.
