French Year 12 Summer Work 2021 • Learn the vocabulary on the scanned sheets. This will be tested in September. • Learn the following verbs on the scanned verb tables: avoir, aller, faire, être, pouvoir, devoir, vouloir in the present, future and passé composé. • Be prepared to write about their summer holiday in exam conditions in September. • Regularly look at google.fr, actualités and read about current events in France and internationally. • Read the French novel "No et moi" by Delphine de Vigan. A second hand version bought on Ebay or Amazon is fine. You do not need to translate every word, just enjoy reading for the pleasure and to get an idea of the main characters, storyline etc. We will study the book together in class, but having read the book in advance will help greatly. Make notes in English on each chapter. • Watch the DVD of "Le Dernier Métro" directed by François Truffaut. Again this is available second hand on Ebay/Amazon. We will start the film in the Summer Term of Year 12.
