Women’s World Day Of Prayer

Our Year 6 girls

danced and read at the recent service at St

Mark’s Church.

Everybody who attended the service were very

appreciative of the contribution the girls made

and were very complimentary about their

attitude and behavior. Well done to all the girls

and Ms Thompson who coached the dancers. A

video of the dance is currently on the home

page of the new academy web site.

Easter Service Our annual Easter service is on Wednesday the

23rd of March at 2.15 p.m. at St Barnabas

Church.

The theme for the service this year is the

stations of the cross and a reflection on the

migrant crisis in North Africa. As part of the

service we will hear about the carpenter of

Lampedusa who has been making crosses from

the wreckage of migrant boats. These crosses

have been given to the migrants, who have

suffered a terrible ordeal, as a symbol of hope.

You can read more about the story here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-

35360682

We would like all our children to show

solidarity with this human tragedy by

making their own small crosses to bring to

the service. The crosses can be made of any

scrap materials that the children might find at

home (paper, card, plastic, wood, metal).

Crosses can be any size and don’t need to be

any bigger than 20 cm in height.

Children can bring their crosses into school

on Monday the 21st of March, ready for the

service.

Parking reminder

Please be considerate at all times when parking in Westfield Road and Brickhill Road

Please do not stop on the yellow zig-zag lines by the crossings

Please do not stop or turn in the academy car park entrance

Let’s avoid an accident – please cooperate with these rules!
