Plant and Agricultural theft costs an estimated £1million every week in the UK.Disturbingly, rural crime in the UK has seen a dramatic increase over the last couple of years. To help combat this worrying trend, Autoglass® Specials is working in partnership with NFU Mutual to offer a free window etch service to all their policyholders.
Whilst we can’t promise that your vehicle will never be broken into. Etching your vehicle identifi cation number onto the windows of your vehicles will help to deter thieves from stealing the vehicle.
The police and NFU Mutual recommend our etching system and our specialist technicians will visit your premises to carry out the etching. It only takes a few minutes to do, so your vehicles will be back in operation quickly.

2. Before we can carry out the etching, the NFU Mutual Insurance certificate, Vehicle Registration certificate (V5C) or the proof of ownership, (if vehicle is not registered), must be shown to the technician. For any vehicles that are Leased or on Contract Hire we will require a Letter of Authority from the Leasing, Contract Hire Company.
3. Once the VIN on all the documentation is correct, the technician will etch the VIN onto all glass in the vehicle cab and apply stickers internally.
4. We’re also happy to etch non agricultural vehicles e.g. cars, 4x4s etc. then the VRN number must match the NFU Mutual Insurance certificate and Vehicle Registration certificate (V5C).
