Kinson - Support, Remembrance and CommitmentWelcome to Issue 5, highlighting the tremendous work of local businesses and community organisations striving to make Kinson great. Please support them all. The Kinson Village Voice ensures the spirit of our community, past and present, never dies and its heart still beats strongly.

We must at this time remember with pride all those who long ago and more recently, sacrificed their own lives for the freedom we enjoy today. By the Green on Remembrance Sunday, as leaves crackle underfoot while a bugler plays Last Post, they will all at that moment be home in spirit as one and we will never forget our friends.

In a lighter vein, Kinson Green takes centre stage for Christmas on the Green on Nov 26. This family themed annual event welcomes everyone, held on what was once a school

yard where some of the names on the nearby war memorial played happily dust years ago. At Christmas we celebrate the importance of the birth of Christ and gather around the table with our own families which strongly bonds us together as a community. We also toast absent friends ensuring their memories live on forever.

In 2017 we are committed to making Kinson great, still calling the place we love, “Kinson Village”.

Help Dan raise £8,000

Dan is a local lad who has a condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2. This is a muscle wasting disorder therefore Dan is wheelchair bound meaning that his car is his main lifeline to live an independent life. The cars that Dan requires are extremely expensive and are normally leased for 5/7 years with a down payment of £5k - £15k. The car which Dan has chosen this time is on the lower end of the scale and will allow him to be a front seat passenger, these types of vehicles are usually in the range of £25k - £30k, which is too much to fund raise every 5/7 years.
