My Choice of Track

• The track in which I have chosen to use for my music video, is that of Professor Kliq’s ‘Plastic & Flashing Lights’. Firstly, I decided to use this specific track because, it’s dance/funk genre appears to combine well with my type of music video, which idealistically, will be of an animated format. Choosing a dance track enables me to be both creative, and experimental, with my music video, as the genre itself does not require a band performance, or particular storyline/mood; therefore giving the director complete control.

Professor Kliq

• The artist in which I have acquired my ‘free-licence’ track from, is that of ‘Professor Kliq’. One of the many reasons I decided to use this particular artist, was because of the youthful sound in his music, (possibly due to the artist himself being a teenager), and the way in which the song itself conveys a rather abstract sound, which is fittingly suitable for an animated video. Furthermore, ‘Professor Kliq’ himself, already has several well-established mix tapes, and volumes advertised by Jamendo. Therefore, it is evident that the artist is producing music of a rather high quality, in an attempt to receive attention from record labels, management companies, etc..
