Franklin’s Annual Awards Presentation will be held

this Wednesday, 11 December in the Miles Franklin

Hall. This special day is an opportunity to celebrate

the achievements and success of students, staff and

parents in 2013. Class and whole school awards will

be announced.

Facts in Brief

Start: 12 noon sharp.

School choir will entertain parents and guests from

11:50am.

Dress: Students need to wear school

uniform. If your child has a uniform problem,

borrow from a friend or contact the school. Black

shoes please.

Kinder: All K students will be presented with a

book.

Toddlers: Must sit with parents. Sand-pit and fixed

equipment are out of bounds for safety reasons.

Finish: 1:20pm (approximately).

Dress neat casual

Parents NOT attending - drop off and collect their

child from the down stairs function room at the club.

K/2 Christmas is coming!

The end of the school year is almost upon us. K-2 students will be singing carols down the main street. When: Friday 13 December at 10am. Where: Chemist and Christmas tree. Parents and grandparents are welcome to come and sing-a-long and join in the Christmas spirit. On Monday 16 December K-2 students are singing and

performing a Nativity Play in the school hall at 10:30am. Parents and grandparents are welcome

to attend. Class parties are also on this day.

Notes will be sent home by your class

teacher about party arrangements.

MUSIC LESSONS

Would you like your child to learn a musical instrument

and be a part of the school band? Ramos music will be

conducting lessons at Franklin school during class time

once a week in small groups. If you are interested in your

child participating in this program please pick up a

expression of interest form from the school office.

Richmond Park, on Sunday 15 December

CANTEEN NEWS Can you spare a day once a month?

We are looking for expressions of interest to work at the school canteen in 2014,

Our canteen runs completely on a voluntary basis with money raised going back into the

school via the P & C. To keep the canteen open every day of the

week we need your help. Thank you to all 2013 volunteers your time

Should any Year 6 parent have no need (e.g. younger

brother/sister/relative/keepsake) for their child’s

school uniform, the school would accept your kind

After the hustle and bustle of Christmas is over and you

get around to buying your son or

daughter’s 2013 school uniform please

remember that he/she will need black

school shoes (you can buy a jogger that

comes completely in black and doubles as a sport shoe.
