Introduction

My professional career has been marked by my two passions: languages and

science. At 17 I got the Certificate of Proficiency in English of the University of

Michigan, at the Institut d’Estudis Nordamericans (Institute of North-American

Studies) in Barcelona. I’m also a Computer Engineer (I graduated at the

Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), and previously studied Physics (three

years) at the Universitat de Barcelona. Since 1996 I’ve been translating from

English into Spanish and Catalan and, lately, also from Spanish and Catalan into

English. My main specialties are technical and scientific projects, and I’ve taken

part in software localization projects (Microsoft, SUN Microsystems…), technical

and commercial documentation for ICT products (Blackberry, Expedia…), as well

as popular science and essay books, and videogames.
