A women is always portrayed as a statue of pity and

affection.

Being a source of creation herself, she is the

inspiration of creation also.

Prince hamlet- typical male, reinforcing the dictates

of patriarchy.

No man is accused for remarriage after his wife’s

death.

He questions the right of a mature women to decide

about her life.

Are women presented as inferior to men?

Do women occupy socially and economically an

equal position with men?

Do our society reinforce or undermine patriarchy?

Are women presented as immoral, devoid of

human values (evil) and as negative stereotypes?

Are women presented as fully developed human

beings who can decide about their own lives?

The male rules and the female is ruled.

Lesser serves the greater.

Women, a personification of self-sacrificed but

labouring under the hypnotic influence of men.

She is the queen, not the slave.

Refers to unequal treatment or perceptions of

individuals based on their gender.

Birth of son is celebrated whereas birth of

daughter is filled with pain.

Developing countries like India displayed

gender inequality in education, employment

and health.

Gender equality is more than a goal in itself.

Social system that values masculinity over

femininity.

Men are entitled to be in charge and dominate

women.

Women are seen as weak, submissive, and an

extension of men.

Women are less likely to hold position of power.

Patriarchy isn’t solely male perpetuated.

Women, victim of man-made harassment, humiliation, exploitation and violence.

Women are suppressed in male dominating society.

Women are facing social injustice.

The mentality of every individual should be changed.

Women , not only engrossed in domestic life but

also actively participating in the outer world.

Women is not a weak creature , possessing the

power to change the world.

The exploitations and suppression make her a

little timid.

Women with her longing and power will come

above all these humiliation.
