Open the eyes of my heart, Lord, open the eyes of my heart;I want to see You, I want to see You
Open the eyes of my heart, Lord, Open the eyes of my heart;
I want to see You, I want to see You.
To see you high and lifted up, shining in the light of your glory.
Pour out your power of love, as we sing holy, holy, holy
Open the eyes of my heart, Lord, open the eyes of my heart;I want to see You, I want to see You.
Open the eyes of my heart, Lord, open the eyes of my heart;I want to see You, I want to see You.
To see you high and lifted up, shining in the light of your glory.
Pour out your power of love, as we sing holy, holy, holyTo see you high and lifted up, shining in the light of your

LITURGY OF THE WORD
First Reading Read by Libby Kelly (mother of Hayden)
A Reading from the Book of Proverbs 4:10-15; 18- The Benefits of Wisdom
Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many. I instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble. Hold on to instruction; do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life. Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evildoers. Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from it and go on your way.The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.The Word of the LordAll: Thanks be to God.
“The friendship which draws human beings together in a tender bond is sweet to us because out of many minds it forges a unity.” - St Augustine Confessions

with wisdom power and love, our God is an awesome God. (Repeat)
God owns this planet and all its riches. The earth and every creature belong to God.
God set the land on top of the seas, and anchored it in the deep. Response
Who is fit to climb God’s mountain and stand in his holy place?Whoever has integrity: not chasing shadows and not living lies.
Response
God will bless them, their saviour will bring justiceThese people long to see the Lord, they seek the face of Jacob’s
God. Response

Who is this glorious king? He is the Lord all-powerful. Response x 2

- Keep thanking God for our giftedness
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.Do not quench the Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil.
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Word of the Lord. All: Thanks be to God.

Matthew 5:14-16 - Jesus said to his disciples you are the light of the world…
You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. The Gospel of the Lord.
All: Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

HomilyFr Senan Ward OSA
Prayers of the Faithful (Please stand)
Read by Bede Sajowitz, Vincent Wu-Pei Xin and Nicholas De Lorenzo
Fr Senan: My dear brothers and sisters, we are nourished and renewed by the word of God. Let us now turn to the Lord as we pray...
We pray, Lord, for ourselves, the students gathered in your sight. Help us to use wisely and for the good of all what we have learnt. Guide us in the coming challenge of the Higher School Certificate examinations. May we never forget the legacy of friendship which we have found at St Augustine’s College. Give us the courage to now go forth and fulfil our aspirations with the talents you have given us. Lord hear us
All: Lord hear our prayer
We pray for our parents and guardians who have given us so much. They have loved us, supported us, and cared for us in every way. We ask you to care for them as they have cared for us. May we be ever appreciative and inspired by their selfless efforts. Lord hear us.
All: Lord hear our prayer
We pray for the staff of St Augustine’s College who have patiently guided us through these years of schooling. Bless and support them in their special vocation of teaching. Lord hear us.
All: Lord hear our prayer
We pray that the experiences of Social Justice we have embraced while at the College continue for the rest of our lives, as we recognise the needs of our marginalised and oppressed brothers and sisters in our world. Lord hear us.
All: Lord hear our prayer
We pray that we strive for truth in all we do especially in times of difficulty, opposition and decision. Teach us to listen attentively to your Word and to trust in your Providence and Love. Lord hear us.
All: Lord hear our prayer
Fr Senan: Loving Father, we entrust our needs to you as we seek to live as one mind and heart on the way to you. We make these prayers with our patron Augustine through Jesus Christ the Lord.
All: Amen (Please be seated)

“If you are the body of Christ and its members, it is your own mystery that is set forth on the Lord’s Table, it is your own mystery that you receive… You say ‘Amen’ to what you are, and in saying
‘Amen’ you subscribe to it. Be a member of Christ’s body then, so that your ‘Amen’ may ring true! Be what you see, receive what you are.” St Augustine Sermon272

At the time he was betrayedand entered willingly into his Passion,he took bread and, giving thanks, broke it,and gave it to his disciples, saying:
TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND EAT OF IT, FOR THIS IS MY BODY,WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU.In a similar way, when supper was ended,he took the chaliceand, once more giving thanks,he gave it to his disciples, saying:
TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND DRINK FROM IT,FOR THIS IS THE CHALICE OF MY BLOOD,THE BLOOD OF THE NEW AND ETERNAL COVENANT,WHICH WILL BE POURED OUT FOR YOU AND FOR MANYFOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS.DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.The Mystery of Faith.
All (sing): We proclaim your Death O Lord, and profess your Resurrection,
Until you come again. Until you come again.

and all the clergy.Remember also our brothers and sisters, who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection, and all who have died in your mercy: welcome them into the light of your face. Have mercy on us all, we pray, that with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,with the blessed Apostles, with St Augustine, St Monica and all the Saints who have pleased you throughout the ages,we may merit to be coheirs to eternal life, and may praise and glorify youthrough your Son, Jesus Christ.Through him, and with him, and in him,O God, almighty Father,

Recessional SongThe Great Southland (by Geoff Bullock)
This is our nation, this is our land,This is our future, this is our hope.A land of reaping, a land of harvest. This is our land, this is our home.
This is the Great Southland of the Holy Spirit,A land of red dust plains and summer rains. To this sun-burnt land we will
see a flood,And to this Great Southland His
Spirit comes
This is our nation, this is our land. This land of plenty, this land of hope. The richest harvest is her peoples. We see revival, His Spirit comes.
This is the Great Southland of the Holy Spirit,A land of red dust plains and summer rains. To this sun-burnt land we will see a flood,And to this Great Southland His Spirit comes
This is our nation, this is our land. This lucky country, of dreams gone dry. And to this people, we see a harvest
And to this land, revival comes.
This is the Great Southland of the Holy Spirit,A land of red dust plains and summer rains. To this sun-burnt land we will see a flood,And to this Great Southland His Spirit comes.
